I do have a question for you, Monsieur, if you'd oblige a humble soul like mine.

I am a soprano whom has just begun taking private opera classes. This is very recent, so I have a long path ahead. I'm scared I will let my teacher down, but I am trying to study the best I can. I am very dedicated, but...

My question goes: do you have any tips as to control anxiety? It overwhelms me, sometimes, when I sing.

Juliana, I recommend first singing to yourself, and not in front of anybody...but I do sincerely hope that you realise recognising that the anxiety is an issue for you is quite a major step. It's not easy, but I believe you can make it work.
