Kattigan saying to Teor, “I’d spit on you, but you’re probably there hanging with your brother.” 😭
perl is not a good language; but using it makes me want to give it a thousand little kisses. what if a language was designed by wizards to write insecure programs with nary a code reviewer in sight?

I’m absolutely obsessed with the reddit side of the Tolkien fandom, in particular, this discussion regarding how Sauron fits the ring on his finger, as well as penile compensation a la Lord Farqaud style
Tonight's Song That's Gotten Stuck In My Head #698: Got to Get You Into My Life by Earth, Wind & Fire from the (execrable) 1978 Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band movie staring Peter Frampton (as Billy Shears), the Bee Gees (as the titular Band), Sandy Farina (as Strawberry Fields), George Burns (as Mr. Kite) and a metric ton of really odd casting choices.
(Steve Martin as a silver-hammer wielding Dr. Maxwell? Aerosmith as the "Future Villain Band" set to destroy America? Alice Cooper as a cult leader braining kids? Carol Channing, Curtis Mayfield, Wolfman Jack and Chita Rivera as random extras singing the finale? Sure, throw it all in!)
There are maybe four good songs on this album (this version of Got to Get You Into My Life, Good Morning Good Morning by Messieurs Gibb and Frampton, Come Together by Aerosmith and Here Comes the Sun by Farina), but good gods and little fishes, what a fascinating trainwreck of a movie this is...!
