learn names of Allah and invoke Him with them

practise gratitude at the end of every fast / day

recognise your weaknesses and create an action plan to improve

read the commentary of a few surahs

And the love of Allah remains above all love.

Shaykh Sālih Ibn ‘Abd Al-‘Azīz Āl Ash-Shaykh حفظه الله said:

“Pay attention to the usage of favours, times of ease, and present conditions. Favours pour down from morning to evening, but where is the remembrance of Allāh? Where is the gratitude? Shaytān may come to and make one think oneself deserving of these favours due to one's actions, forgetting one's sins, transgressions, shortcomings, and the favour of Allāh the Exalted, on an individual level or a societal level. Thus it is obligatory upon the slaves of Allāh - as individuals and as a community - to give attention to the times of ease and favours, holding tightly to the remembrance of Allāh. Then when the hard times come, Allāh the Exalted will bring ease.”
