Hi yes I’m back on my bullshit...
So y’all know the whole humans are space orcs idea. I want that but with Rocketduo.
Like Niki as a human that got abducted into Space, and of course she escapes her captors because humans are op and just because Niki is simply a badass. So Niki somehow steals a ship and flies it to a safe planet.
And on this planet she makes a life for herself here, and tries to keep hidden from the locals the best she can, but she still managed to be spotted every now and then.
So Niki becomes the trade planet’s Cryptid and ghost story over the course of time. Because it has to be a tall tale. I mean there’s no way one of the most dangerous creatures in the universe is here on a simple trade planet... after all humans are not allowed outside of their own solar system for the safety of everyone.
So upon hearing about this so called “monster” in the forest outside of the large trading post, the very brave and strong Jack Manifold doesn’t believe it. He says that he can take any deathworlder that comes at him. So the people of the local tavern make a bet with him. He must go into the forest and investigate the human. If he comes back alive the bartender said everyone would get drinks on the house.
So the brave Jack Manifold goes off on his own to investigate the creature that is definitely not a human. He only starts to regret his decision when he comes down from his drunken state to find himself lost in the forest.
Now Jack Manifold is a big man, despite what others might say. He does not simply give up on a bet because he became a little lost and a little more sober. So he treads onwards.
When it becomes the late hours of the night and he definitely is sober, he then starts to panic. He didn’t even bring a weapon to defend himself from the regular wildlife on the planet... let alone a monster. Not to mention he is completely lost now.
So as he’s stumbling about in a panicked state he runs right into a hole. One that fell down a short tunnel, and one that had a net and more than a few ropes.
So when Niki comes back to her hideout from foraging to find she did not in fact catch the wild life that has been eating her garden, but she had instead caught a small angry alien man.
He only noticed her when she gasped at the sight of him in the net. Upon the sight of her, his struggling and yelling in the net increased tenfold in a panicked state.
Jack Manifold was no longer the big man he thought he was. He was about to die by the hands of a human. A pretty cool way to go he supposed, but at least not when he was stuck in a net.
Niki didn’t know what to think of the small blue alien she had successfully caught, she honestly thought her next one on one encounter with one would go the other way.
She slowly approached with her hands up, but that seemed to startle the alien more. She reached above and let the net fall to the floor. The alien scrambled back away from her as fast as he could.
Niki was only slightly nervous about him. She could take care of herself.
The alien yelled and screamed at her when ever she tried to approach his spot in the corner where he was curled in on himself. He had grabbed a small stick in his shuffle and was now holding it defensively to his chest.
She simply sat down criss cross a few feet away from him and made calming noises to him. Niki thought as though she was calming a scared child or a frightened dog.
She eventually scooted a bowl of water towards him and only then did he seem to come down an edge.
“Niki” she said and gestured towards herself.
The alien seemed to scrunch up at her words, but then gave a look of curiosity when he seemed to understand them.
“Jack” He said in a shaky voice and strange accent.
“Jack!” Niki repeated and smiled.
This caused Jack’s stick to fly into the air as he let out a screech. The stick, a twig really, came back down and hit Niki softly on the head.
She would have laughed if the small alien now know as Jack wasn’t huntched over on the ground with his hands on his head.
Oh yeah, Niki has forgotten that was a sign of aggression to most aliens.
She whispered a few more calming noises at Jack and even called his name a couple of times. He finally looked up after a minute or two to see Niki holding out a native fruit to him.
He took it from her grip slowly and shuddered as he brushed her fingers. He took a bite of the fruit and after a moment of quiet let out a small, “Niki...” as he looked at her.
Niki nodded her head and smiled without her teeth. “Niki.” She said.
This was going to be a long night.
YALL TELL ME IF YOU WANT MORE! ask questions if you’re curious about anything! I just thought about this and was like yep this is a thing now. Also I forgot to mention, Jack’s height goes up to about a little below Niki’s hip.
