Just found out today that apparently Helen Henny was in an episode of ALF??
Basically there's an episode of ALF (Season 3, Episode 16 - "Baby Love") in which Nancy Lenehan plays the character of Laverne Litwack. Lenehan was the original voice of Helen Henny, as well as voicing Foxy Colleen and Harmony Howlette. Huh. The more you know I guess.

Top Left: Gordon has created a lagoon in the Tanners backyard because he is hyperfixated on Gilligan's Island.
Top Right: Gordon has created a shrine to Kate because she went back to work.
Bottom Left: Gordon has created individual headstones for his late pet ants that got baked in the sunlight for too long. He was severely hyperfixated on these things.
Bottom Right: Gordon has continually made toast in a talking toaster because he was hyperfixated on the toaster. Because it talked. He very much convinced the Tanners to go to the hotel because he wanted the talking toaster. He doesn't even eat the toast, he just gets huge amounts of joy from seeing the toaster toast.)
Thinking about this one image of Gordon that I have saved for some reason
Its existence raises so many questions…where did it come from? Why does it exist? Why does he look so ominous and uncanny? Why is he dressed like this? I think the most prominent question I can ask, knowing the lore, is how do his feet fit in those tiny loafers?!
Hey, remember that post I made back in February of 2025 when I pointed out that there are at least three instances of Gordon Shumway having his ears pierced? Well, I think I may have found a fourth instance...or I might be delusional. Hence why I'm posting it here so you can make your own conclusions.
Basically, I was watching a recording of the 40th Primetime Emmy Awards from 1988, and there's a segment where Gordon does some monologuing, introductions, and makes complaints about how he wasn't nominated. But halfway through, I noticed something shiny on his right ear.
At first I thought this was some sort of prop headpiece, but then I got to this shot.
At this point, I think it's an earring. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a good shot because his hair covers it most of the time.
Those were the best shots I could get from the video. If you want to watch the video for yourself (and honestly I think you can see it better by watching it), here's the link to the video, uploaded to the Internet Archive by user pannoni4. The segment occurs in pt.1 at around 45:10:
After an opening song by the Sweeney Sisters, TV's greatest night of awards and honors welcomes Dick Van Dyke, Mary Tyler Moore, Michael J.
Here's another picture from the event. You can't see it the most clearly because of the angle, but you can tell there's something shiny on his right ear.
And the there's this picture that's just been sitting in my drive for a while, which I'm pretty sure is from the same event. At first I couldn't see it, but after looking closer, I think I might be able to see something on his right ear.
If this is an actually an earring that I'm seeing, then this is pretty cool, because the three other instances of him wearing earrings were played for laughs (as the drummer in the YTOWOOTW music video, for the seance scene in "I've Got a New Attitude", and in "Hail to the Chief" when he's messing around in Kate's jewelry box). Although there's no attention drawn to them in any of the other instances (maybe except for "Hail to the Chief), and there's no attention drawn to it here, this is the first time it's there just to be part of his wardrobe. He's just wearing it. Whoever does wardrobe for the puppet outside of the sitcom just decided that it looked good with the tuxedo. If this is true, and I am not seeing something completely different than what is actually there, then that's awesome. They should totally slap earrings on the puppet more.
In conclusion, I'm 99.9% sure this is an earring. Please let him wear earrings more often, Alien Productions. Thank you all for reading my essay.

Random but important post (for the ALF fans anyway): There's this great podcast I've been listening to called ALFsplaining. It's a podcast that does an episode-by-episode dive into the ALF sitcom. The hosts review the series from a British perspective, and they do a wonderful job. They've just finished up season two, and I believe will be off for the summer, but that's enough time for anyone interested to catch up. Recently, they've done two interviews, one with Mike Reiss and another with Al Jean (writers on ALF, among others things), which I would both recommend. More excitingly, they just announced that next week, they would be interviewing Paul Fusco himself.
The interview must be lengthy, as they're releasing it in two parts. I'm not affiliated with the podcast in any way, but just wanted to put this out there for anyone interested.
(I do not own the image above. The image comes from the ALFsplaining social medias.)
