Halloween Asks

Cauldron: What is your favorite thing to cook?

Hmm.. I didn’t like cooking at all until about a year ago, but I’ve cooked a lot of easy tasty stuff since, and honestly I can’t tell you what I like to make most? I’ll say white beans in tomato sauce with leek, apple, raisins, bacon and cinnamon because that’s what I had yesterday. You basically throw it all together and it’s tasty as heck.

Cobwebs: One place you would never want to get lost in in the dark?

Er.. I can’t think of any particular place, but if I’m by myself: any place unfamiliar and/or unlit. But I feel very brave when I’m with someone else, heh!

Howel: Your favorite kind of dog?

hounds and in particular pointer dogs (and in particular the Large Münsterlander of course because that’s my wonderful pup). 

Pointers have to be quiet when they hunt, so they almost only bark when they’re playful; 

they don’t get freaked out by loud noises because they’re supposed to be used to guns;

they’re bred to point their noses at prey they spot - not to chase after it - so they don’t chase after everyday things (like cats and birds and cars) either

they’re super careful with their teeth because they have to be able to fetch and pick up prey without damaging it’s fur/feathers;

they’re really clever and eager to learn;

they’re super loyal and affectionate and gentle with kids;

and lots of walks make them the happiest they can be. <333

also I understand they’re generally pretty healthy? I could be wrong but I don’t know of any pointer breed that’s been overbred.

Jack-o’-lantern: Do you have any scars? If so, how many?

I can think of at least 9 (small ones). It’s weird but I like scars (not that I’ve gone out of my way to create new ones) and my knee scar is my favourite. It’s a 5 cm long one that I got when I was little when I climbed through a hole in a fence and caught my knee on some iron wire sticking up. It didn’t hurt, but bled like a pig. It’s pretty big, so everyone thinks I’ve had a knee surgery, haha. My least favourite: the one on the tip of my thumb that I got when I was cutting salami at work with one of those machines that has a spinning blade. That was the first time in my life I got that close to fainting. It was very sensitive and painful, and took a lot of time to heal. The scar turned out looking weird as well, like a permanent blister.
