Idea i had for a concept fighting game of my ocs where they all get trapped in gold forcefield bubbles by another oc
The user with the hereditary kagune ability known as Pseudo-Geokinesis ( created by the mutation of RC cells through generations ) hosts the potential to eat through their kagune and also generate small creatures that act as scavengers ( akaiko “red child” ). The user can either detach a chunk of their kagune to consume a corpse and later on reattach the remove piece. Once the piece of kagune is connected with the host, what the piece had consumed while apart from the host can now flow into the host providing them with more energy as if they had eaten the flesh themself. The user can also eat through their kagune without having to remove it. The user can also produce akaiko which are chunks of kagune that can move about on their own, their purpose being to find a food source, consume it, then quickly find its host and once again become part of the kagune. The downside to using the akaiko is that they can’t live without the host for long periods of time, once they detach from the kagune, they have less than five minutes to find a food source and return to the host. Ghouls with Pseudo-Geokinesis can also take on the role of a battlefield medic when fighting an opponent alongside their friends. If one of the host’s allies is starting to grow weak, the host can produce the akaiko for their ally to eat in order to ‘fuel up’.
The Pseudo-Geokinesis was first acknowledged by the CCG in the late 1890s. It was first displayed when a ghoul known as Hosuto ( Zugaikotsu ) was spotted producing akaiko in a graveyard located in Kinosaki. What caused Pseudo-Geokinesis to form in ghouls was thought to be the outcome of ghouls eating corpses that had already started to decay, becoming a home to various fungi and bugs. After discovering the genetic ability, the family where it originated from later on began to believe that if they ate the corpses of their deceased family members days after they started to decompose, that it would make the ability stronger. While consuming the flesh of their dead family members did enhance the Pseudo-Geokinesis gene, it prevented the newer generations to be able to obtain kakujas because they already had a mass amount of mutated RC cells.
Since the Zugaikotsu family eats those in the clan who had died, the consumption of the body is seen as a celebration. Those part of the family who know they are going to die soon are quite pleased and okay with the fact that they are soon going to passover. The ritual itself is viewed by the family as a great honour to be eaten. The family member who is going to pass sees the act of being eaten as their final gift to the family since it’s going to strengthen the gene. The celebration can take days to prepare. The body of the deceased is drained of its blood then cut into large pieces and the meat is stripped from the bones, and the organs are removed. The bones are then cleaned and placed into a box decorated by the younger family members, prized possessions of the deceased are also placed into the box. On the day of the feast, the children of the deceased are given the organs to eat and the rest of the family consumes the flesh, they also drink the blood of the person who passed.
The only known user of Pseudo-Geokinesis in Tokyo is Aka Zugaikotsu.
