Hey mate how ya doing?
Ayoo im p good just planning the murder for a hate dm reno just got-
How are youuuu?
@agentargus @agent-nova
A Starry Eyes wedding (one day)
(Just playing around with making moodboards and this sort of just fell together. A gift to Ellie and Charlie for Valentineâs Day.)
okay but: merlin and charlie talking about their significant others to each other. based on things weâve talked about before, thereâs like five different ways that can go.
Late Night Pep Talk
âLate night?â Charlie asked, a slight smirk on his face as he took in Merlinâs state of relative undress.
Merlin hadnât expected to encounter anyone at that hour, but at least it was a slightly more familiar face. Still, he froze near the counter.
âItâs alright,â Charlie reassured him. âIâll be out of here in a minute.â He returned his attention to the pot on the stove, stirring its contents slowly, tiredly.
âWhatâs that?â He detected subtle floral notes as he got closer.
âNot sure exactly. Helps her sleep, though,â Charlie shrugged.
âEleanor?â Merlin questioned, opening the fridge for a bottle of water.
Charlie chuckled at the formal use of her name. âYeah, for El.â He glanced back up at Merlin. âYou seem to be settling in just fine here,â he commented. âMorgan has been in a great mood latelyâŚâ
âIâŚyeah,â Merlin smiled bashfully.
âI wouldâve expected you toâŚavoid getting involved,â Charlie commented, pouring the liquid into a mug, using the wooden spoon to hold back whatever solids were in the pot.
âI did,â Merlin confessed. âFor a little while, anyway.â Flashes of the moors entered Merlinâs mind and he did his best to push the more frightening aspects away.
âWeâve all got needs,â Charlie shrugged, placing the pot and spoon in the sink.
Merlin frowned at his dismissive tone. âIs that all this is for you? Satisfying needs? Is that what thatâs for?â Merlin asked, gesturing to the mug in Charlieâs metal fingers. Charlie went pale. âDidnât think so.â
âThatâs not what I meantââ Charlie backpedaled, the realization sinking in.
Merlin smiled upon seeing the younger man scramble to explain himself. âItâs not anything to be frightened of. Youâve got to have something to come back to, something that makes you forget about the less savory parts of your day. And youâre doing that for her, too.â
Charlie set the mug down, mind spinning with the realization. He looked up to Merlin, a bit stunned. âHow did I not know?â
âWere you avoiding it?â Merlin crossed his arms over his chest. âWhat did you think you were doing all this time? Playing at roommates?â
âIâŚâ Charlie sighed, leaning up against the counter, arms crossed similarly over his chest, the metal casting a slight reflection on the nearby surfaces. âI just liked where I was, what I was doingââ
âAnd who you were doing it with,â Merlin clarified.
âI didnât think about it.â
âOh, donât give me that. Thatâs why youâre up atâŚâ he glanced down at his Kingsman standard issue watch, ââŚalmost four in the morning, making her tea? The young man I met so long ago as a recruit certainly wouldnât do anything of the sort. Not unless he was getting something out of it.â
Charlie pretended to find the structure of the bionic arm incredibly interesting. Merlin could practically hear the boyâs thoughts. Doubts. Downplaying everything.
âThereâs nothing to prevent you from falling in love. Itâs incredibly inconvenient at the best of times, and downright dangerous at the worst times,â Merlin spoke. âI should know,â he mumbled.
âWhat?â Charlie asked.
Merlin shook his head. Not now.
âSo what do I do?â Charlie asked. âI canât walk in there and just declare that I love her,â Charlie scoffed. ââŚCan I?â He asked, vulnerability peeking through.
Merlin only barely resisted laughing at him. âYou do what you feel is right. If you need to table it for tonight, you do that. But donât think for a second sheâll reject you. She somehow seems to adore you. I couldnât explain it myself,â Merlin joked, watching Charlieâs smile slowly appear. âSheâs much too good for you,â he reminded him.
âI know,â Charlie admitted.
âThey always are,â Merlin sighed. âJust got to show them you care, and you seem to be doing a good job of that,â he added, gesturing to the mug on the counter. âDonât panic when you go in there. Just be glad sheâs giving you the time of day, eh?â
Charlie picked up the mug before meeting Merlinâs eyes. âThanks for the late night pep talk.â
âComes with the territory, I suppose,â Merlin shrugged. âGânight, Charlie.â
âGoodnight, sir.â
There it was, that unfailing respect. Merlin didnât feel he deserved it, not in this setting. He was the one up to no good, after all, while Charlie was behaving responsibly. Still, it felt good to not be at work for a bit. Not to mention who he was spending his accrued vacation time with.
He headed up the stairs shortly after the conversation in the kitchen, pausing as he heard Charlieâs low voice.
âSorry I took so longâŚIâve got your tea.â The door shut behind him, any further words becoming muffled. Merlin finished ascending the stairs and pushed open the adjacent door, stepping into the darkness and closing the door behind him.
Soft hands found him as he slid back into bed. âWhere did you go?â
âJust went downstairs for a drink. Get some rest, love.â
A comforting embrace took his mind off things and he fell into a relatively deep sleep.
(I will be adding to this here and there. Iâve got a few other situations lined up but this portion was finished so I figured Iâd go ahead and post it now! Hope this is okay!)

@agent-nova So, I saw Westworld in the title and thought of you. So yes.
the truth? It's out there ( @agent-nova )
ââ did you see that? â - @AgentNova
He doesnât get scared easily; not after years of seeing things like contorted spines and mangled limbs. Exorcisms prepare you for a certain type of fear. Itâs a type of mentality Cillian has been able to readily prepare himself for -- the screaming, the violence, the inhumanity of it all.
But, aliens?
No, no, Iâm sorry, thatâs just not his cup of tea. Demons, sure, hell yeah. But two legged cryptids caught on home surveillance feeds? No.
He knew befriending Ellie and becoming the Mulder to her Scully was a bad idea. Judas knows now that when the sentence âdid you see that?â comes out of her mouth he already knows he is not about to deal with it.
Long legs kick himself up from the desk, eyes a bit wide with fear in the blue glow on the monitor set-up. Cillian exhales, stretching his legs as he paces across the room. Ellie, of course, has that wonderful excited smile blooming across her face (whether itâs because of the footage or because of his reaction, heâs not sure).Â
âSee, Cillian -- I told you, this neighborhood has had increased sightings of these things. Theyâre bipedals, but with no discernible exoskeleton or upper torso --â
âEllie,â Cillian rubs his face, âWhy? Did you drag me in here just to show me alien hoax tapes?â
âTheyâre not a hoax! The Frenso Nightcrawlers --â
âOh, they have a name!â Cillian waves his arms, exhaling and beginning to pace again, âI need a tinfoil hat.â
âStop being dramatic, Judas,â Ellie grins, âItâs just aliens.â
Just aliens.
Right.
