Well I just went to the NYC tenement museum to learn about the unbearable conditions my great-grandparents lived in, and omfg, the apartment we toured was bigger than any NY apartment ive ever lived in

The tour guide said that when people from the suburbs come on the tour, they're pretty horrified, but when New Yorkers come, they're often surprised by how nice the apartment is
