Warmth. This is what she felt when all she did was simply stare at the breathing child lying next to her. They were both on the bed, with Aemi sleeping and Bom lying down with her hands on her chin, watching the other. She was so intrigued by the little girl; she was so precious, just like her father. Bom was sure that the baby girl had everyone wrapped around her little finger. The older jumped a bit when she heard her phone vibrate, cursing herself for not turning it on silent before. She turned to look at the baby to see if she had woken up from the sudden noise. Fortunately for Bom, all Aemi did was squirm.
The older unlocked her phone to see a text from Ruki, asking her about how her day was going and hoping that she had been doing well. She sent a reply before setting the phone under her pillow and turning back to Aemi, stroking her tiny hand and humming a song. She was such a sweet girl, the younger one. Never causing too much trouble and always being a sweet angel. Bom found it amazing, really. Maybe Aemi really was an angel; an angel that was sent over to watch Aron in order to keep him safe. Did that even make sense? To Bom, it certainly did. She yawned; after watching Aemi sleep for a while, it seemed Bom herself had grown tired. A nap wouldn’t be too bad, she thought. She unlocked her phone, this time to set an alarm to go off after 40 minutes. The older set her phone down and closed her eyes, yawning again before falling asleep.
