Person A has always had strange dreams where they are trying to solve problems among a group of strange people who claims to be gods of different things and part of a shared and ancient pantheon. Person A has spent years dreaming of these gods and solving problems between them. One day Person A wakes up and realizes they’re not in their room, but still in the “dream world” of the pantheon. Turns out Person A is the child of the current head of the pantheon who was having Person A, in their dreams, problem solve and work out issues and fights between the many gods, to prepare Person A for inheriting the pantheon from them when they step down. Person B+ are gods who are assigned by the head god to be Person A’s aids, due to being some of the gods who Person A was fairly close too in their dreams and befriended (and who sometimes helped them deal with the other gods or gave them valuable and important insights about the issues the other gods were dealing with and/or causing). Person B+ though are all competing to see who will be selected as Person A’s head advisor, but Person A is also attracted to all of them and is starting to be unsure whether the head advisor is the only role Person B+ are trying to fight over.

Person A is the new ruler/head of the gods of an ancient pantheon, after a long period of chaos in that pantheon. But when Person A inherits the throne of the heavens, they realize there is a lot of discord and drama they need to sort out among their many god subjects. The gods of the different seasons are in a bitter rivalry among themselves, the god of animals and the god of hunting are always arguing, the gods of the wind and the ocean are fighting over which element ducks and flying fish belong too, etc. Person B is a god who tries to keep out of the drama and has been barely holding the pantheon together (the mom friend of the pantheon, in a way), so Person A makes them their second in command and head royal advisor when it comes to how to deal with all the issues they’ve inherited along with the throne.
