Adora and Beck body hcs // canons.

Adora ( pre-defection ):

malnourished and dehydrated, lower weight than average.

became sick as an infant from the Portal energy and residue being too much for her body to handle.

poor physical development, immune system only strengthened by her Eternian blood. would be considered weak to Eternians. average Eternian is near 180cm // 6'ft or above, regardless of sex.

physically branded with Horde symbol in early teens. scarred and blind left eye ( right to viewer - from Catra, as children ). thin scar around forehead and vertical scar from her chest and to her stomach from experiments. various other scars over the years from training and other experimentations.

Adora ( post-defection ):

weight gain, fat rounding out her muscle definition. visible in the shoulders, stomach, and legs. pear-shaped. healthily buff with proper nourishment and hydration.

newer scars on cheeks, back, and leg from Catra. branding is tattooed over with alicorn wings, courtesy of Entrapta.

development evening out, a little height gain, strengthened immune system. not up to what may be ideal, but far better than before.

in the far future, c-section scar!

Beck ( pre-Rebellion ):

prosthetic lower arms and legs ( born without full limbs ), scrappy and rusted.

malnourished and dehydrated. lanky and bony.

star-like burn scar covering 70-80% of their back.

thin scars on thighs from self harm. horizontal scar from right cheek to nose bridge from a fight with Tung Lasher. various other scars from training and fighting.

Beck ( post-Rebellion ):

prosthetics replaced, functional and sturdier.

weight and height gain, lean with slight curves. wider shoulders, torso, and hips.

claw scars on left shoulder and right lower arm from Catra's attacks. newer scars on thighs from self harm relapse. scar on nape from Horde Prime's control. various other scars from fights.

for those of you who don't know ( tbf, only a few people have asked about 'em /nm ), Beck is my SPOP OC ( they // them ) that was born in the Horde, orphaned in the Crimson Waste ( Hordak killed their parents ), and is a vigilante-turned-hero, while later falling in love with Adora.

there's been changes to Beck , including their species ( they originally just looked like an elf, but i'm making them more... alien-y, once i draw them again ), but their core concepts have stayed the same.

Beck is my pride and joy and i wanted to bring 'em back, so expect more appearances and me yapping.

they do have petnames for each other, yes! here are the ones i put in a previous post:

beck - “babe”, “doll/dollface”, “darling”, “sweetie/sweetheart”.

adora - “love”, “sweets”, “honey”, “dear”, “baby”.

they do have ones they'll call each other in private, due to either embarrassment or felt it was too intimate to do in public.

beck - no, actually.

adora - *pickup line ruined*

beck - i prefer cuties with a sword.

adora - ...

adora - *red in the face*

the 1st time they kissed, adora's leg bounced like a bunny's.

the 2nd time they kissed, it was her other leg.

the 3rd time they kissed, it was both legs and beck couldn't keep her still, so their third kiss was more of a clumsy one.

i think i'll be talking about beck's time in the horde ( which was for 9 years ) and some of their experiences:

beck did come across adora ( if you guys are interested in the interaction, lemme know and i'll write it out ), and it did not end well for them.

their parents had hidden them, so that hordak wouldn't try to turn them into a child soldier. beck had to get around in vents and sneaking behind walls and in boxes.

due to the protection, beck did not have friends. so, they created their own, and named them "canny tin" and "ellie oh". they're married.

beck did their own training by watching their parents and other horde soldiers in the training hall. they always did it at night, when everyone else was resting, so that they wouldn't be disturbed. despite this, beck prefers a less violent conclusion to conflict.

beck already did not like hordak, due to his verbal abuse ( and sometimes physical ) to their parents. at the end of the day, they would often notice how exhausted their parents were and the bruises and cuts on them from the mining. due to this, beck had become more...caregiving from a young age. their parents tried to prevent this as best as they could.

they had also met kyle. kyle swore to never speak of them to anyone, but didn't know why. they had met 10 times before beck's runaway, but left a picture under kyle's pillow. kyle still keeps this picture to this day, but makes sure no one sees it.

some bullies in the horde stopped or disappeared. no one knew why that was ( before you ask, no, beck didn't kill another child. ...it was an adult ).

"i'm sorry, dollface, but what the horde was to you isn't any of my concern."

it's harsh, but it's true. beck loves adora, completely, but the horde is also what took beck's family away. the horde is what destroyed them. they respect that adora doesn't want to severely harm her family, but from their point of view, they don't have a choice if they want the horde to go down in shambles.

in the end, beck might make some choices to not harm someone, but adora would have to learn that she doesn't have much choice in the matter, either.

there's two sides of every coin.
