(not for translation) The anon saying you were creating confusion might mean that not everyone can understand that this kind of translation is intended to be humorous. I've seen misunderstandings about the intent of translations before. Maybe adding a definition or tagging things 'humor' could help?

I worked at a gas station and to my knowledge only three people were kicked out one for selling stolen goods and the other two they were kicked out/banned by my managers and coworkers for harassing me for my Tourette's, purposefully triggering tics, and generally being ableist assholes (calling me a "mental retard" to my coworker regarding my tics etc.) I love my old coworkers :)

(Resubmit hit wrong button) I'm stage manager for a play where at the end a character dies and someone said something that prompted me to say "x can't dream because he's dead". Then a cast member jokingly called me ableist for doing so and I honestly don't know how to take it.
I honestly have no idea either. Ableism isn’t something to joke about, and I don’t even see what any of what you said is related to ableism.

I'm a cane user, and bus policy is to give up your seat for disabled people to sit down, but the bus was full and no one offered their seat so I had so stand on my bad leg on a moving bus for several blocks until I finally told someone to move their bag so I could sit.
Translation: Oh, what do you mean you need to have a seat? I’m conveniently blind and had no idea you were disabled, even though you have a cane. As you can see, I don’t seem to have any more empathy than a pea.
