"That's the most I've ever heard you talk." I have Social Anxiety and I only said like one sentence.
Translation: Oh, quick, someone who’s been very quiet is speaking. I have to draw attention to them as fast as humanly possible! What do you mean, they might be quiet because they don’t want attention? Why would anyone ever avoid attention?
(Obvious answer is obvious.)

#Unsanitary for the snot ask? Please?
Oh, right, sorry! It’s tagged now.

I'm moving out of my apartment and me and my sister are cleaning the room with chemicals and the smell is almost making me gag ( I tried to kill myself with cleaning chemicals and now the smell is a trigger) and my sister keeps telling me I'm spoiled and should get on with cleaning. I like to add I'm literally covered in snot and I'm crying a river.
Translation: I’m your sister, but why would I actually be a nice person and care about how my actions are hurting my sibling? I just want to get this job done.
Mod note: That’s more than rude and inconsiderate. Your sister is being pretty dang nasty, nonnie!

(not for translation) The anon saying you were creating confusion might mean that not everyone can understand that this kind of translation is intended to be humorous. I've seen misunderstandings about the intent of translations before. Maybe adding a definition or tagging things 'humor' could help?
Oh, okay! I get what you mean now. No problem! I’ll let the other mods know too.
Tag will be ‘humor’.
The main inspiration for the way we ‘roast’ during our translations is @the-straight-whisperer, by the way. Just wanted to put that out there for people, since the fact that it’s all (mostly) humorous needed slight clarification.

This blog will not help anyone with anything. You are creating boundaries, and confusion.
Any chance you'd like to be more specific? I and the other mods welcome constructive criticism, if you have it. You can send it on or off anon. I won’t judge.

"You're sad sometimes that's not a disability! Stop taking things away from people who need them" school counsellor. I've been diagnosed with bipolar, ptsd, anxiety, panic disorder, and anorexia and I can't work and study, nor can I drive. It's amazing how it's a bit more than 'being sad' but that's all metal illness is I guess
Translation: What is mental illness? I certainly have no idea, even though it should be my job to know these things.
Translation #2: Helping mentally ill young people? Why would I do that? It’s not my... oh.
~Admin Eo
not translation! Since I'm 8 (I'm now 16) i have bone marrow aplasia, it's a part of me now and I don't really want to heal! the meds stopped working on me about a year ago ever since I'm exhausted all the time! I'm finally gonna get a transplant in 2 months but I'm so scared! what am I gonna be without it!
Having a chance at recovery and taking it is your choice. You will find new things to explore and discover in your life, whatever your path. There are many ways that you can still help the spoonie community, of course, even after recovery: disability activism is one that comes to mind the quickest. I am sure that people would enjoy having you.

My mom, who knows that I have hypersensitive hearing, when I ask her to turn down the tv: "Youre so sensitive! The world isnt going to coddle you like I do!" i guess watching that shitty soap opera is more important than my well being, huh.
Translation: I am human excrement, who is so wrapped up in my disregard for others that I do not care about the pain I am causing my child. You are clearly ‘coddled’, because I give you… what again?
~Mod Eo
My personal favourite (as a fat person with chronic pain and multiple mental illnesses): "You just need to lose some weight!"
Translation: Not only am I fatphobic, I think that mental illnesses and chronic pain is a joke. They go away when you exercise! Also, there are several kale shake recipes waiting in the kitchen. Run away while you still can.

I hope you all have the most wonderful day possible. May everything you've ever wanted to happen, happen on this day.
.
I worked at a gas station and to my knowledge only three people were kicked out one for selling stolen goods and the other two they were kicked out/banned by my managers and coworkers for harassing me for my Tourette's, purposefully triggering tics, and generally being ableist assholes (calling me a "mental retard" to my coworker regarding my tics etc.) I love my old coworkers :)
That’s awesome, nonnie! Thanks for sharing. Your coworkers sound like great friends.

HAPPY BLACK HISTORY MONTH.
Not for translation, you are providing a great service via this blog. *A cake appears.* Ooh, food!
Thank you for the well-wishes, anon. Helping people means a great deal to us here.

Not for translation, just venting I guess. Maybe advice? Idk. I'm the one with the awful professor. She asked to meet with me tomorrow to talk about it after I went to the department chair and honestly I am so scared. Not because of what she's going to do or say, but because of how I'm going to react and how that's going to affect my view of myself even though I don't want it to. How can I stop it from affecting me and my view of myself?
Hello there. One of the best things to do might be to focus on what you want to say to her. Think about it, write it down, and practice saying those things out loud if you can. That way you’re less likely to end up floundering because you haven’t thought out what to say.
If our followers have advice, please feel free to add it.

NFT: Hey, I was wondering, could you maybe tag the post with the spider gif? I have really bad arachnophobia.
Sorry about that. We really should compile a tag list. Thanks for pointing it out.

(Resubmit hit wrong button) I'm stage manager for a play where at the end a character dies and someone said something that prompted me to say "x can't dream because he's dead". Then a cast member jokingly called me ableist for doing so and I honestly don't know how to take it.
I honestly have no idea either. Ableism isn’t something to joke about, and I don’t even see what any of what you said is related to ableism.
