This weekend I was fortunate to have a gig working ticketing at Adele's first shows in NZ and final shows of her 15-month tour. I wasn't a fan before, but this artist and Goddess changed me. She ended her last show by saying "Us artists, it means so much to us that you let our stories in your lives." which made me start to cry and her too. Then, she gets 50,000 people to help her sing a song about her own personal heartbreak, "Someone Like You" which changes the story to be personal for them, and creates healing power as a collective. And that is the point of making art. Thank you Adele for inspiring all of us to be ourselves and share our stories.
