Heard about this fairy tale and thought it was too cute not to draw! Basically a kind of beauty and the beast type story but with a real chill beast.
Astro boy novel!!
This was originally just a project for school, but in the end I grew on it and made this project into my personal adaptation for Astro Boy. I'm having lots of fun working on it! I'll be posting it chapter-to-chapter! (small gore warning for the cover?) https://www.wattpad.com/story/407517344-tetsuwan-atom
I also really wanted to try out Wattpad and see if I might be able to post some of my original work on there? Nevertheless, I think I like it!
"Minnesota" - Marsh Family adaptation of "San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flowers in Your Hair)”, 2026
We hope the good people of San Francisco won’t mind us adapting this iconic track (about their city in the sixties, in the midst of protests and the counterculture movement) to treat the tragedies in recent days and weeks in Minneapolis. The original song was written by John Phillips (of "The Mamas & the Papas") and first released (sung by Scott McKenzie) in 1967, reaching number one in the UK, Germany, Ireland, and New Zealand charts, though only fourth in the US. We chose it because of its link to protest, its soaring refrains, its simplicity, its earnestness, and its celebration of love and solidarity. In our arrangement we haven’t double tracked the vocals but have added harmonies and mandolin/violin lines. We hope it serves its aim, which is to express solidarity with the courageous and valiant protesters in Minnesota (and beyond), and to memorialise Renée Good and Alex Pretti, and sing their names across the ocean: two innocent American citizens executed on the streets in appalling scenes that so obviously echo waypoints in the historical march of fascism. Taking on the guns, masks, fear, and falsehoods requires more than flowers and songs. But they are powerful nonetheless, especially if they remind folk of previous generations that navigated trauma, and that you are not alone, and others are being inspired your courage and actions in the face of the winter of our times.
SO! Let's talk about the play adaption of Dead Plate, Made With Love!
Has anyone else watched the unofficial play adaption of Dead Plate yet or am I gonna have to educate y'all. /lh
Anyway, so you Dead Plate fans probably already know that a while back, Rach got an ask asking her if it was okay to adapt Dead Plate into a play for their school! Additionally, you probably already know that Rach said yes. Well, as of May 2024, the play has been acted out courtesy of the Society of Performing Arts (SPART), and also filmed--and is now totally free to watch on YouTube. It's called Made With Love! ((Note: please let me know if the link doesn't work, I'll replace it if needed))
The actors did awesome work on depicting the characters, the backstage crew really made it come to life, and overall it's such an interesting interpretation of the original story! It's only about an hour long, so it's definitely worth giving a watch. Not to mention, the audience sometimes gives the funniest commentary.
I really wish I saw more people talking about this performance, so hopefully this dumb little post will get this play's name out there. :]
Quick note, though: If you do make fanart/fan content of this, please remember that the actors for this version of Rody and Vincent are not comfortable with being shipped together, as the actor for Vincent here is an adult, and the actor for Rody is a minor. 👍🏽 Thanks, y'all!

SOTE Headcanon #4
Its would be cool when the world of the Meadowlands would be also more diverse like TDP or Vox Machina.
That it gives also more black/dark skinned elves instead of only Asian/Mongolian with a few white ones like Bal and Double.
Same goes for the Fairies: Instead of only Caucasian, they should also have more dark-skinned and/or Asian ones.
It goes for the LGBTQ+ content in the series too. This was heavily downplayed in the original season.
