oh i love it! definitely one of my favourite series! the way it talks about personhood versus humanity versus being human, all of which are different things, is so important to me. also as someone who uses it pronouns i love a main character that also uses it pronouns (and everyone just. accepts it no problem lol) obviously i just love the whole presaux crew, murderbot's and art's friendship is sooo important to me!

and god don't ask me for a favourite scene there's so many good ones!! but i think the whole. "you have no idea what i am." - "i know exactly what you are. you're afraid, you're hurt, and you need to calm the fuck down so we can get through this situation alive." scene on the gunship on tranrollinhyfa is so. GOOD. and then murderbot almost deleting itself trying to save its humans!! yeah. so what if i maybe like a self-sacrificial character 👀

but also the whole ganaka pit section was so fucking heart-breaking like holy shit the way the units in the recorded data keep trying to push through the massacre and just. stop responding one by one... bruh

there's so many good scenes if i listed them all i would probably re-tell the entire series lmao

then there's also the overall setting, the absolutely dystopian capitalistic hell of the corporation rim versus the much more pleasant (but not perfect utopian) non-corporate territories, the existence of alien artifacts (and in fact the whole. alien remnants can literally drive people insane, etc. just by. being around them), it's a very cool setting~

i haven't had the time to read the most recent book (system collapse) because work has been kicking my ass (and also i occasionally got too busy writing instead of reading lol) but i should have time to start the audio book at work next week 🙏
