clingycutor
pt/ clingycutor. /end pt
a persecutor role is a role where a headmate intentionally attempts to stabilize (< related link) a new split(s) despite it being more work, stressful, unhealthy, etc. for the system. clingycutor comes from the combination of 'clingy' and 'persecutor'.
attempting to stabilize splits is done out of love for the new split(s) and is not an intentionally harmful persecutor role. however, it still fits the persecutor category as clingycutors are encouraging and causing something stressful/harmful to the system. a headmate stabilizing new splits without causing any harm to the system is not the same as a clingycutor. being a clingycutor can often be as hurtful to the persecutor as it is to the rest of the system, if not more, given how attached they get to new and unstable headmates.
clinginess to new splits may be due to them being sourcemates, sharing exomemories, being from a media or interest that the clingycutor likes, or because the new split generally seems like a person the clingycutor would like to have around. this role goes well with bpd/cluster b holders or headmates, and those with attachment issues, but is not exclusive to it.
this role can be temporary if only applicable to one new split situation, or it may be reoccurring with multiple new splits and thus, a more permanent label.
the flag's warm colors are meant to be comforting as a nod to the comfort new splits give clingycutors, while the blue center represents the unintended harm being caused and uncertainty of the new split's stability. the flag's symbol is representative of the love clingycutors hold (a tight hug & a heart), as well as the instability of the new splits they're targeting (an unlocked lock).
