Been a while, I'm working on stuff to upload both here and on my YouTube channel. Besides that? Happy Pride Month to my fellow gays, aces, aros and trans people. Love you all.
This week’s obscure aspec label is...
Encephalosexual
Encephalosexual is when you can’t experience sexual attraction unless you’ve formed an intellectual bond with someone. It’s similar to demisexual, but specifically with an intellectual bond. An intellectual bond would be sharing wisdom, hobbies, and/or knowledge with each other.
It’s romantic equivalent is encephaloromantic.
Okay so, question. I experience sexual attraction towards some celebrities/characters, but when it comes to real actual people I kinda have more demi patterns of sexual attraction. What does that mean???? Would that be considered more aceflux???
I'm going to be completely honest here, I'm not entirely sure. I can however, tell you a little bit about my understanding of celebrity crushes - which is that as they're completely unrealistic, they're a kind of subconscious way, i suppose, of exploring sexuality without the reality of ever being in a relationship or actually having sex. That's not to deny your experiences, though - just something to consider.
As the concept of finding celebrities attractive is completely at odds with demisexuality, like you mentioned, then I would imagine that that fluctuation between your demi attraction and your attraction to celebrities would indeed be considered aceflux.
