Our 2024 KTM 500 EXC-F test mule has been awesome for scouting trails for the LA2AZ off-road route we recently put together. The new chassis and suspension is plush in the rocks and it eats up technical sections. We made several aftermarket upgrades as well like a Black Dog skid plate and foot pegs, a set of Dunlop EN91 knobbies, and some Acerbis Endurance X handguards. Another essential update was a large 3.2-gallon fuel tank from Acerbis that gave it the extra range needed to handle the sandy sections and scoping out fresh tracks while traveling deep in the vast Colorado Desert.
