There is a proposed bill in the works by the AAAOM (American Association of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine) to get acupuncture into medicare. Just take that in for a minute and imagine how much that will open for the profession. More access never hurts.
Sadly there doesn’t seem much support. Either people don’t know about it, or they are a hippie opposed to having acupuncture in medicare coverage. Yea I don’t understand why either, maybe they think less people will come to their overpriced bullshit seminars.

This doesn’t solve the issues I have with the profession, but giving more people access to the medicine may serve as a catalyst for greater things to come…
