Valerie Gray from Danny Phantom is an intersex polyamorous polysexual trisfeminine (link) demigirl using she/her pronouns, and her variations are Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) with dysmenorrhea!
Intersex flag-only edits under the cut!
menstrual cramps should be treatable at home, with household items like heating pads and over-the-counter medicine. you should be able to go to school, go to work, hang out with friends, participate in your hobbies. you shouldn’t be diverting any energy or brainpower into hiding your pain. you shouldn’t be thinking things like “please god help me please god make it stop please i just want it to stop.” you shouldn’t be crying, panting, gasping, or screwing up your face in pain. you shouldn’t be so distracted by your pain that you struggle to focus on what you’re doing. you shouldn’t be waiting for an opportunity to collapse in agony and spend an hour or two writhing and moaning. you shouldn’t be incapacitated by pain.
The forever war of trying to figure out if I have PMOS, Endometriosis, or some secret third thing. It's so FUN.
When the post hysterectomy surgery pains are 100x more bearable than the menstrual pains I had previously, I know I made the right choice for my body. I knew my pain wasn't normal and would cause more damage to my body in the long run. Having the right doctor makes all the difference. After a year of unbearable, debilitating, life altering pain, I can handle being sore for a few weeks. I'm so excited to be able to live my life without being afraid of my monthly cycle!
