Glitter Anon for Sabriel fluff Friday again: (I just get inspired by everyone else's submissions) Gabe just sitting there having a conversation with Sam in Sam's favorite library at the bunker between dinner and the time everyone goes to bed just like they always end up doing and Gabe finishes saying something and out of nowhere he turns and looks at sam with wide, shocked eyes and he just says in this soft, breathy voice, "Holy shit I'm in love with you"
OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD REVELATIONS AND THINGS OF THAT SORT MAKE ME SO FUCKING HAPPY I CANNOT EVEN TELL YOU, BECAUSE IT’S PERFECT. Â
Gabriel will never get tired of the way that Sam absorbs information like a sponge.  He’s been teaching Sam languages and a myriad of other things that aren’t in the history books, he knows creatures so well and he always tells Sam and Sam almost memorizes them and asks thousands of questions. Â
He’s addicted to the way that Sam asks him questions, his eyes lit up and excited, leaning into Gabriel’s space, asking question after question. Â
It’s another night and they are discussing unicorns, which are real, and Sam is just lit up, his eyes bright as he asks question after question.  And Gabriel is just basking in Sam’s attention and it’s only when Sam sits back, awe still on his features that Gabriel realizes, in one breath-taking moment…
“Holy shit I’m in love with you.” Â
And if Gabriel thought Sam had lit up before? Â It was nothing to prepare him for the smile that Sam bestows on him then. Â When Sam stands and walks over to him to kiss him, slow and soft, Gabriel thinks that Sam is the most beautiful thing that he has ever seen.
