Végignéztem az árukeresőt, 110 oldal, valami 2600 billentyűzet.

Az A4Tech természetesen gyárt ilyet, de angol kiosztással.

A műszaki értelmiség szart ér, már megölni sem akarják.

My PS/2 (not PS2 console) to USB Converter for my PS/2 Keyboard

(Day 2 from my original tumblr account termination and it still not received from my email inbox so let’s moved on to my quick topic)

Anyway, I’d just came home from a computer retailer store for purchasing this PS/2 (not Sony PS2 console) to USB converter for my 6½ year old version of A4Tech KRS-85 Keyboard ⌨️. I actually bringing it just to testing at the computer retailer store and it definitely worked, also I was so exhausted from walking from store to store both outside and inside mall until I’ve finally found it, riding on the Jeepney and went straight home from walking - at least I get exercise by walking (,it never fails).

BTW: #1 - Like my other posts which is never exists my 2 photos are now combined by using my GIMP despite I have a total of 11 photos despite the limitation of 10. (and) #2 - No Paper Dolls appearance this time around.

So let’s get to it:

From 1st to 4th Image(s): • Here’s my PS/2 to USB converter looks like, it costs me Php 100 so it’s a big deal. Although there’s also the wire version of that but I prefer this kind of version for a less wire and more space. Here you can see there are two PS/2 slot ports aside from male USB port on the other side (please see 1st image): The mouse port on the left and on the right was the keyboard port. Again it’s not PS2 that sony console which is not relation to the year old computer port.

From 5th to 6th Image(s) [Combined]: •And since I don’t have a PS/2 mouse (while my A4Tech OP-720 USB optical mouse still works) I instead used my old KRS-85 Keyboard. My apology for the messy dust on my old keyboard but it is what it is when it comes of usage, I might clean up someday.

So where’s my USB version of that? Well get to that later...

• Here you can see there a violet color PS/2 port plug indicates the Keyboard (, and while the other port plug was a green which indicates the Mouse. Although I don’t have that but you could always google it), I’m sure you’re already familiar of. Look at the plug and socket of the PS/2 it matched.

7th to 9th Image(s): • Now I already plugged in my PS/2 Keyboard through the converter and into the USB from the laptop and it really worked! Now I can finally type again with my old friend. Man It’s been 6½ years and It still functional, I really missed you so much! 😁 Again, please excuse the messed around the keyboard... ^^;

10th Image: • Okay so as for my USB keyboard of the same A4Tech model? Well unfortunately it did not very well... I really thought that my new (USB) keyboard will be the same lifespan as the old one but it didn’t go the distance.☹️ Well sure it worked for sometime but after a seconds / minutes or so it became malfunctioned during my typing and it attempt to not respond the functional keyboard after I tried to yank out and plug in numerous times, making it very annoying to me. I would say that my USB keyboard is now semi-dead right now; it’s a damn shame so there goes my Php 220 USB Keyboard. 😔 And it’s a good thing my old one still alive and well. 😌

Here’s my Part 2 and final part of this topic. Now as for the typing test (which I said on last month), I decided to abandoned right away despite I have another parcel/package that I want to shown ya and I can’t wait to get my hands on.

So anyway, with that said this is my final topic for my PS/2 to USB converter. With another (vice versa) converter from our computer junk box, which this happened a month ago...

Nevertheless let’s get over with:

1st to 6th Image(s): • Yes you heard it. Apparently I have a unused USB to PS/2 converter from my old silicon flexible keyboard back in 2010 [CLICK ME! via DeviantART], and I wonder myself ‘what if I used this converter for my USB mouse through my current converter?’. And judging from the matching ports it could be worked even though it’s been rusted but still. so here are my photos from 1st to 6th for a comparison. 🖼️

7th Image: •On the next image you see the two converters combined and it fits very well. Now let’s see if my old converter still function. 🤞

Note: On the 1st and 7th Images - you noticed from the comparison there’s a keyboard icon/emblem from the old converter, so I’d just hope it will be worked when I connecting with my USB Mouse 🖱️.

8th and 9th Image(s): •Both PS/2 (again not the game console) ⌨️ and USB 🖱️ are now connected to the converter(s). I made a Frankenstein made converter, so just saying. 😅

10th and 11th Image(s) [combined]: •So now I connected to my laptop 💻, and I was surprised that my old vice versa (USB to PS/2) converter connecting my USB Mouse was actually worked after 10 years of unused 😲. As you can see the red light was lit, although I’m not sure if you see it but still work nonetheless.😊

BTW #3: I have now 3 USB port slots on my laptop and on my USB hub combined; a saved room port for other input devices. 😁

My (new) A4tech KRS-85 USB Keyboard [Final Topic] - Comparison #3 w/ A4Tech KRS-85 (Old version 2013) and Intex Corona IT-1017RB [Oct. 11,2019]

Well here are my three computer keyboards comparison between (top to below) my old Intex Corona [IT-1017RB], the old A4tech KRS-85 and my newly purchased one with the same model name and brand, also this is my final end of this topic.

From 1st to 8th Images:

• Not much to say the different size,look and design comparisons of all these three because I’ve already have from my previous parts (, you could check it on my previous).

9th and 10th Images:

• So now on their cable lengths (from top to below); according to the Intex website the Corona’s (IT-1017RB) cable length has 135 cm / 1.35 m, while the old KRS-85 with PS/2 (purple color) interface has 150 cm, but unlike the old one the newer version has 155 cm (as I assumed despite it adds 5 cm) which is quite longer than the old version.

BTW: I was gonna go straight length cables but unfortunately I can’t because my Honor 8C’s camera can’t handle the photo quality. Sure I could do a panorama but that’ll be very long length photo so I decided to bend it.

My (new) A4tech KRS-85 USB Keyboard - Comparison #1 w/ Intex Corona IT-1017RB

Well here it is my first part comparison between my new A4Tech KRS-85 (down) and my old and useless Intex Corona IT-1017RB (up).⌨️😊

From 1st to 6th Image(s):

•Both KRS-85 and Corona keyboard have a size, height and weight difference. The KRS-85 was a long length, large size and a bit bulk weight while the Intex Corona was the opposite and it’s a slim too. So here are the photos of comparision sandwiched between two USB keyboards.

Note #1: The KRS-85 has a ‘solid’ Laser Inscribed Keys so it won’t fade out or mistakenly press the wrong keycap, and unlike the Intex Corona with a weak standard Laser Inscribed Keys which is somehow faded after numerous used.  

From 7th to 8th Image(s):

•At the back of the keyboard you see the Intex Corona has many screws and spill proof holes which is notable than the KRS-85 which their 4 spill proof holes are less noticed and the screws are quite few with onlt 4 screws. Also the Intex Corona’s adjustable height is solid than then KRS-85′s soft lifted, though it share similarity looks.

Note #2: I don’t usually used that adjustable height for both keyboards, so just saying...

9th Image:

•Finally they’re both standard USB Type A interfaces, so nothing special.

Note #3:  I forgot to tell ya that the Intex Corona was purchased since 2014 as I’m guesting (?), date and month is unspecified or in short I can’t remember. My mom just purchased that for my lil’ bro back a years ago.
