Higurashi Sotsu episode 3 was pretty fun. This actually kinda combined the original version of this arc with Gou’s first arc which is pretty neat. Do wonder if we necessarily need to be doing full Gou answer arcs when we already know “oh it was Satoko” but ig they’re still putting a nice twist on it by bringing in the older arcs. I guess they want Gou and Sotsu to be viewable standalone? Makes me wonder how long will be spent on the proper conclusive arc. Looking forward to it. And hey we’ve got 15 episodes instead of like 12 so, neat.

Slightly more developed take on Aquatope episode 1 is that it’s exceedingly pretty, the character designs are lovely, love the seiyuu and they’re giving nice performances, does seem like the supernatural elements are going to be used more in service of the characters and their narrative rather than defining the narrative by itself, on that note I’m already interested in the narrative and these sorts of “chasing your passions in the face of great challenges” stories are pog as fuck for me. Very much looking forward to seeing how this goes.
