Children’s Programs:

Licensed day care with developmental programming for young children available to residents

Bilingual staff and translators available

Counseling and Case Management:

Therapeutic counseling in individual and group settings

Case management

Emergency Shelter:

23 private rooms for women and children in imminent danger

Even if the shelter is full, women in dire situations will be accommodated

Health Care:

Health clinic staffed by JHU School of Nursing for immediate health concerns of residents

Legal Aid:  

Helps obtain protective orders, peace orders, divorce decrees, custody of children and child support for free.

Nourishment:

Meals provided to residents

Recreation:

Large gathering living rooms where residents talk together, play games, and watch movies or television.

Transitional Housing:

6 transitional apartments and supportive services

Residents commit to stay 6 months and the maximum stay is 2 years. Residents must maintain a source of income and pay subsidized rent monthly.

24/7 shelter with an intake process; max stay: 21 days

Counseling available 4 days/week

Education and Training:

GED prep and school re-enrollment

Identification:

Assistance in obtaining forms of identification

Nourishment:

Meals are provided for residents
