Hey this was cracked. What the fuck. I really liked this. Like here's the thing I don't talk about the upcoming season here anymore much because I watch every show anyway but upon learning that "girl joins a broadcasting club" was being done by Studio Bind whom have like a really lovely looking track record and have been so far rather careful with what they adapt I became hyped, like this was my most anticipated new show of the season. And yeah I guess I had reason to anticipate it because this really was lovely, like super special. This first episode technically isn't much more than a person with hobby whom is scouted to join a club for said hobby but with production and especially direction like this it was really effective, I feel like I have a really clear picture of who Hana is already and I'm like genuinely rooting for her success for the sake of nothing more than hoping the process of such allows her to like herself more. It's so potent. And the music by the way, my god, the fucking recitation on the beach has such a beautiful track accompanying it I loved it. Really fucking looking forward to more which is nice to say in a season that's otherwise one of the most lacking we've had in a while.

oomf @yurisorcerer watched Beginning of a New Era recently, really liked it, watched Road to the Top, really liked it, and is now working through the TV seasons. I haven't seen either New Era or Road to the Top. Neither of us have seen season 3. So the current gameplan is I watch what I still need to, she watches what she still needs to, and then we can both watch season 3 together, and all goes well we manage to accomplish this before Cinderella Gray airs this Spring. Cool. I decided to watch Umayuru first because Jane doesn't care about the chibi shorts but I mean I've seen the rest of them and had this downloaded forever, so I gotta. They were fine. The end. Might watch Road to the Top tonight, might do something else, we'll see.
