After presenting all our 3 ideas across Dupe, we were told to chose the most feasible idea keeping in mind our skills, available resources and time frame of the project.

So, as a team we decided to proceed with the 1st pitch idea keeping in mind all the factors mentioned above. 

Here’s the final storyboard for the idea. 

The environment can be a micro world that we are not familiar with but curious and invisible to the naked eye. We can create a different sense of space through the structure of points, lines, surfaces, topologies, etc.

We can show this special environment through VFX technology, which can have a strong sense of plasticity and art. The short film will show the ordinary people and objects in the macro world, and the people and objects have a volume exchange, which the person can enter this micro environment as a tiny part.For example, it can be a deadly viruses, a person is trapped in this closed glass container, as the container is constantly being filled, the person is struggling, and eventually it means that the person died of the virus.

Crystal internal mirror reflects the different look of a woman, it can be a close-up of a face or a part of the body. There may be scars left after surgery and faces with different emotions. A person walk through a fiber forest of sweaters and steps up the spiral staircase on a snail's shell…The contrast mainly includes the concrete and abstract space environment and the change of texture and material.

A sea spirit that takes the form of a small glowing ball with moving lights and shapes inside. It starts deep under water, as it moves slowly between sea weed and help, exploring the environment curiously, lighting the depths as it goes. It eventually follows bubbles up to the surface, where it breaches the water. The two environments being one of depth and darkness, the other being a bright surface.

A 10 year old kid is walking past the streets where she comes across different digital posters related to the career options (For e.g. Doctor, chef, police, singer, astronaut) you can choose moving forward. She starts peeping into different posters and starts to realise that she can’t make certain career choice because they don’t seem to be the right fit for her. However, when she actually finds the fit career choice for herself i.e. becoming an astronaut the scene transforms to an older version of herself featuring in a NASA adversitement.

CONTRASTS:

CHARACTER: She transforms from a kid dreaming about becoming an astronaut to an older version of herself actually being in the NASA advertisments as the role model for several people.

ENVIRONMENT: It is brightly lit on the warmer side which transforms to a colder environment.

SOUND: Noisy city to calm silent space environment.
