Further lighting tests.

After showing our recent work to Dupe they gave us some feedback. One of the things they suggested  was the redesign the space helmet and make it look more grounded and less science fiction so we ditched the over exposed dome design and went with a more familiar look.

Blend the poster into the environment so we added some cuts and dirt to the poster using a Photoshop, normal map and an Alpha map. Then the footage along with the poster was tranfered into After Effects and added a drop shadow to fit in more with the lighting of the wall. We adjusted the opacity layer of the poster so that it looked like the yellow sign on the wall was causing a slight crease on the poster.

At this point we are trying to get the texture on the buildings to reflect some of the light so I used emissions. We created normal and displacement maps for the walls but they seemed to be affected by the emission maps so the walls came out looking rather flat.

After the creation of the basic model of the suit of the space girl, there have been some testing according to the coloring. Having found a color pallet and based on it, we did some suit testing in Maya. As for the style and textures, we have some examples from the mood board.
