“Aim small, miss small.”
I grabbed this arrow that was in our trash bin (the shaft was broken so I pulled the nock out to save), jammed it into the ground like a stake and shot downhill directly at it. Mostly the closest I could hit was where the fletching would rub it, I only heard that CLACK of hitting it—grazing it, no damage—once. One my last three arrows I changed my grip on the third one so that the thumb and forefinger were out and not tensed. I shot that last arrow and then SNAP! Broke the useless arrow in half. Luckily there’s enough left where I can try the same thing again. It’ll just be shorter.
