i honestly don't get the recurve hate at all. honestly!! i don't!! compound is a very nice bow for beginners and i get it if you want to use compound but i hate it!! here is why recurve is actually better than compound
if thhere's something wrong with your shots, it's always your fault!! never the bow's fault!! this way you can fix your shots much more quickly
have a problem with your poundage? just get another string!! no need to use the absolute mechanical behemoth that is a compound bow. they look like a motherboard threw up all over it, it's insane
when you use recurve, you adjust yourself for the bow. when you use compound, the bow is adjusted for you. using recurve can also help adapt to other bows and help you in comps!! go figure!!
there is absolutely no better feeling in the world than shooting a bow that's as tall as you are (unless you're 6 feet and a jerk)
