Wasteland Warrior
For Cyberblood TTRPG
This guy was helping me at the archery range today and after I hit some particularly good shots I turned to my dad and jokingly exclaimed "I didn't hit anyone!" and he replied "Yeah, better than last time-" and oh my gods the look of absolute horror on the guys face before he asked "D-Did you really?"
Kinda sad that he actually thought I might've but honestly looking at my shooting, I don't blame him. (Before we had barriers on the sides of the targets, I shot an arrow or three into the backroom and hit a whiteboard. And a few fridges.)

I gave my compound bow some attention for the first time since November.
As much as I'm committed to competitive recurve bow archery now, maybe one day I'll take my compound bow hunting.

If Devil May Cry had archery...
What type of bow would Dante use?
Compound
Longbow

Information about each bow:
Compounds are a modern bow typically used for hunting as they can pack a lot of power with less risk of bodily harm, which is why the learning curve to use them is less steep. You'll mostly see them with extra attachments to be super accurate.
Longbows were historically used in battle by skilled warriors. Made in England and Wales, these bows could deal serious damage, however the archers that used them trained for years to reach the strength required to use them.
Recurves today are mainly used in target archery, however they were first developed around 2,800 years ago in Assyria. These shorter bows have limbs curving away from the archer which allowed them to pack a bigger punch for a leg up in warfare.
Composites are used to describe a wide range of bows, however the Asiatic variety can be characterized by their unique construction. They can mainly be seen used by archers on horseback like the Mongols due to the smaller size of the bow.
