Two years ago on this day, I surrendered. I admitted for the first time to myself, my family and friends, and my higher power that I am a drug addict and alcoholic; I didn’t want to believe it, but the situation I had gotten myself into made myself powerless. Looking back, the events that happened were a blessing; they helped shape and mold me into the person I am today and I now get to share my experience, strength, and hope with others— I am living proof that even when one feels like they are going down a dark path, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Today is my 2 year sober anniversary!!!! 2 years ago today my life was in shambles and I was soulless carcass walking around this earth just surviving one more day of self created hell!!!
