Berena drabble, G, no warnings. Bernie is tired after a long shift at the hospital and just wants some caffeine to wake up before the Christmas visitors arrive...
Bernie stares in dismay at the kettle on the countertop.
It's been minutes already and the water still isn't boiling.
"It's broken." She whines at Serena who enters the kitchen.
"You know you can still boil water on the stove, right?" Serena asks, quite amused by her caffeine deprived girlfriend.
Bernie gives her a look of pure betrayal. "Too slow!"
"Well, then I suppose you'll have to eat coffee beans."
"Betrayed, by the kettle and my own girlfriend," Bernie sighs. "And after working the Christmas nightshift!"
"Oh, go sit down, I'll boil you some water, love." Serena kisses her cheek.

It was Tuesday when I watched it once again it's just the clock rolled over while writing. Score could go up after either further reading or a rewatch, but god it feels crazy having this done. Very good final episode although I did find myself lacking an understanding of what the ending was necessarily going for thematically. I might be likely to rewatch this sooner rather than later and on my own schedule instead of weekly, such that I'd be remembering details better and whatnot, get a more concrete understanding of the narrative. Ideally score goes up whenever I do that, but I mean 8/10 is firm "I loved it" territory so I'm still happy. Really enjoyed Anthy's end specifically, proud of you girl. Delighted to have gone on this journey. And it's not over yet! Movie soon, poggers.
