Rebel Without a Cause is a 1955 American coming-of-age melodrama film, directed by Nicholas Ray. The title was adopted from psychologist Robert M. Lindner's 1944 book, Rebel Without a Cause: The Hypnoanalysis of a Criminal Psychopath, although the film itself does not make any other references to Lindner's book. It was filmed in the then recently introduced CinemaScope format.

The film stars James Dean, Natalie Wood, Sal Mineo, Jim Backus, Ann Doran, Corey Allen, William Hopper, and Nick Adams.

The film focuses on emotionally confused suburban, middle-class teenagers, the film offers both social commentary and an alternative to previous films depicting delinquents in urban slum environments, attempting to portray the moral decay of American youth, critique parental styles, and explore the differences and conflicts between generations, namely the Interbellum Generation and the Silent Generation.

Over the years, the film has achieved landmark status for the performance of Dean, fresh from his Oscar-nominated role in East of Eden, in his most celebrated role. This was the only film of Dean's in which he received top billing. In 1990, Rebel Without a Cause was added to the Library of Congress's National Film Registry as being deemed "culturally, historically, and aesthetically significant". Es una adaptación del libro Rebelde sin causa: El hipnoanálisis de un psicópata criminal de 1944 del psiquiatra Robert M. Lindner. La película, sin embargo, no hace referencia alguna al libro de Lindner. La película despliega ciertos juegos de cámaras, movimientos poco convencionales, cámara subjetiva y una colorimetría contrastada.

I didnt really expact that to happen at all! I just followed that guy when I saw him on the street, tall, bulky, muscular in tight sportswear. Turned him in the elevator, what turned out to be a bit dumb. After putting him on, leaving quite some evidence of my excitement, Iit took a while to find his appartement.

But I just entered as the door rang. It was them, two guys as hunky as this italien-ish guy. And not only that, I was quite surprised, when they not only put off their jacket but ended up chillin in the living room just wearing underwear.

Of cause I joined them, sporting quite some tenting in my Slip when I entered.
