Protagonizada por Steve Railsback, Peter Firth, Frank Finlay, Mathilda May y Patrick Stewart en sus papeles principales la música del film es una de las últimas composiciones para la gran pantalla de Henry Mancini.[3]​ La idea del guion, escrito por Dan O'Bannon y Don Jakoby, surgió a partir de una novela de Colin Wilson, titulada Los vampiros del espacio,[4]​ pero dando un carácter mucho más "pulp" a la trama.[5]​ Esto la distanció de la novela y Wilson acabaría renegando por tanto de la adaptación.[6]

La película retrata los acontecimientos que se desarrollan cuando un trío de humanoides en un estado de animación suspendida son llevados a la Tierra después de ser descubiertos en la bodega de una nave espacial alienígena por la tripulación de un transbordador espacial europeo.​

Then, every area has their own sweets for the holiday. In the Central Valencian Country, we can find the coques cristines and cofafes, two kinds of sweet flat breads or biscuits.

In Xixona (Alacant), it's also typical to eat doblades. They are sweet spongy cakes aromatized with aniseed (very typical spice in pastries and sweet breads all around the Catalan Countries), with some almonds on top.

All Saints' Day (Nov 1st) and All Souls' Day (Nov 2nd) are holidays about remembering our loved ones who have died. People go visit cemeteries and bring flowers to tombs. All of these sweet breads used to be given to children when going to the cemeteries, though nowadays they can be eaten anywhere.
