11:13pm //
Fixed my vines from drooping
Just woke up from a smol nap. I think. Actually im not sure. I feel like it's a nap but im not sure. Does that even makes sense? Hahahah
Anw, I woke up really hot and perspiring a lot.. today was seriously too humid.
My vines keep drooping. The tape isnt very secure. It was really pretty at first but after times of adjusting it became ugly. Actually I got inspired by some youtuber who placed vines all over the wall to surround the overhead projector screen. But my version is just 2 measly strings of vines to spice up a little corner of my room, ft. fairylights. I think they actually turned out well except for the drooping part.
Can you spot more plants.. i really like those 2 potted plants i got from ikea, one on my pegboard and one on top of my cpu.
Tbh im not a plant person, and I've always thought it's a little extra when people buy plants (fake or not) to deco their space, but this time round i decided to try it out myself and yeah that's the look of it so far.
And also! Look at the ducks on top of my monitor! I feel very extra lololol.
And, my beloved dream's season greetings calendar ;)
Love drunk energy, I'm in ocean deep.
I havent been journaling a lot these few days. Other than the fact that I had a journal outing at the library recently, I really havent been journaling or writing anything special that happened. Its all just what I ate. Nothing about what I feel/think. Like especially the core of my journaling this year is digital journaling, cause I got a premium on noteshelf3 (yay 🎉) and yeah.. actually the only difference is that i can have more notes i think.. so digital journaling will be a huge part of my life. And especially so since I can just reuse my templates that I did for myself every year, super convenient.
Of course i still enjoy journaling physically, it's when I can use cute memos and stickers and pens etc. Its definitely more personalized in this way. So I'll not stop journaling physically.
Hmm actually a topic I've been thinking about today is: when im going to buy a bto flat.
Im single so I have to wait until im 35yo before I can own my own flat. Im going for the flexi 2 room bto probably. Its perfect for living alone. ❤️ or I can just find someone to marry immediately and then im entitled to my own flat. There's an age limit over there. Which is damn annoying. Who says I can't be successful and own my own flat at 21yo while being single? Not saying that i have a lot of money and that im successful, but you know an age limit? Why in the hell would that be necessary? I still have so many years until I reach 35yo. I can't wait; I feel like I would end up dying at 40yo somehow. Isn't it a sad thing already being single? Why make it even sadder by setting an age limit that's soooo far; i need my own flat to be happy!
Just what i was thinking today.
Alright. Its time for some unwinding with YouTube. So (enjoy my setlog for today) and goodbye.
Italian listening comprehensions fuck me up because they use audio of Italians speaking in their normal speed - so lightning fast for me - but I just got a 100 on a moodle exercise 😭😭

Review of Shadows of the Afterland
My name is Carolina, not Pilar!
Fun game with a very contained setting so it doesn't ask much of its players. Very beginner-friendly. Great music, fantastic art. I enjoyed a lot of the side characters and the peeks into their background / how they ended up dead.
Really enjoyed the lore of the Afterlife, their book clubs, their magical tools and how they ascend / get reincarnated. I love world building lore facts like those!
Saw another review that mentioned that there was no explanation why Carolina and Pilar's lives were so intertwined, which baffled me because I thought it was clear that Carolina was a reincarnation of Pilar. Yes, the timeline is wonky, but it's the afterlife, who really cares about that? Maybe it's just easier for me to suspend my disbelief.
Fantastic music and art design. I will say that I felt kind of juked from the cover art of the game and the actual pixel art - I prefer pixel art so this was a pleasant surprise, but the 3D design of the cover art made me expect an entirely different style of game.
In order of preference: art design, voice acting, lore. I think the actual plot of the story is not super impressive and it gets a little heavy-handed towards the end (I also thought it seemed a bit rushed at the end) but maybe this is irony poisoning? I also really liked how Damian was pronounced - because the team who made the game is from Spain hehe.
Favourite character: Emilia Velasco. Loved her and her bureaucracy, then when she turned out to be evil? Incredible. I support women's wrongs.
Favourite character design: No one stood out to me. Overall quite equal.
Favourite voice: GREGORIO. Love my advertisement hard seller ghost who died from climbing up too many TVs. What a guy.
Favourite part: When Emilia was revealed to be evil <3
Whimsical game with a lot of world building packed into it. Good for beginners to games, very accessible. Nothing time-based / animation based. I think the ending fell a little short, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
6:25pm //
Got this for dinner.
I was craving for choc cookie crumble that's why.
The weather was really hot today I was literally melting the whole way back from work. So it was good to feel some aircon and also have a cold drink.
Review of Loco Motive
Lady Unterwald has been murdered on the Reuss Express!
Really liked the story, the direction (the three protagonists and the different timelines were really neat touches), and the art. I think in order of stand out: the game direction; the art style; the voice acting. The voice acting was really phenomenal. Good, fun game, but Herman's voice did get a little grating towards the end. I enjoyed how the murder mystery was only a small part of the overall story because there were far more interesting stories to be told.
Favourite character design: Arthur A. Ackerman. I thought the blue suit really looked good on him! Peak moment was when he stuffed that massive umbrella into his suit the first time, took me by surprise. Diana Osterhagen's design is a close second, really loved her curves and the animation of her filling her pockets.
Favourite character: Arthur A. Ackerman. Sorry, once you put a lawyer in a game (even one of the more useless estate lawyers I've seen), they'll immediately have a few plus points from me. It's also very endearing how he was so relieved that there was paperwork at some point in the adventurous murder mystery.
Favourite part of the game: Herman's story, where you find out that a lot of the nonsense that went down in Arthur's story was put into motion by Herman.
Favourite voice: At first it was Arthur, but as it went on, I think I sort of forgot his voice because there were so many other characters. Diana's voice stood out the most to me at the end I think. Not sure I would consider it "favourite voice", perhaps most "stand out" voice?
Music was really good too! Paul Zimmerman did a good job.
Fun game that didn't take itself too seriously. A lot of whimsy, and that's nice. I think we need more games with whimsy.
