- I feel a bit more knowledgeable about the zodiac signs as well as the planets.  I wish I had read more and studied more, but I still did accomplish something.

- I’m working on finding a method of mindfulness that utilizes my hands; I find peace with crochet and coloring.  

- I launched my shop on a New Moon and in a couple weeks it’s Moonaversary will come up.  I’ve been devoting a lot of time to that and it feels great to be working, so to speak.  I’ve been really worried about my finances, but even the small bit of money I made last week has made a HUGE difference- in both my financial life and my mental health concerning finances.  

What Is Still Before Me

- October is my spooktastic month, so again my focus is going to be on Shadow Work and this time I’m dragging my boyfriend along for the ride.  

- October also includes plotting my NaNoWriMo, which is the same one I worked on last year and the same one I worked on during July.  I’ll be throwing together an outline.  

- I’m going to make some writing themed spreads to put up in my Etsy shop for other writers!

- I’m more versed with my own energy, I’ve analyzed where within my energy feels strongest, and where it seems to be expelled more easily.  I’ve practiced aligning my energy.  

- There has been some progress on the meditation front, though not as much as I would like.  

- I’ve spent some time figuring out what to do with the free readings, and unfortunately, it may end up coming off as cold or very stern.  The truth is, honestly, there are some questions I get that I really don’t feel need to get a reading, or sometimes even deserve a reading.  I’m not a magic 8 ball here to just confirm every whim and desire; I know sometimes we all need reassurance that we’re on the right path, but often times its not the case.

What Is Still Before Me

- I really do have some work to go with my Meditation & Yoga practice.

- While doing all this, I’m swiftly running out of funds, my savings is evaporating before my eyes, and I’m worried.  I’m real worried.  I don’t get nearly as many paid readings as I wish I did.  Soon I’m going to have to look for different ways to earn cash to keep myself afloat.  Though, honestly, I could probably get by with 10 Celtic Cross readings a week.  

- Being inside for so long has really started to get to me, mood wise.  Luckily, it should cool down in September and I should be able to get out.  It’s 82F outside today as opposed to the 106F it had been for most of the last week of August.  

The first issue with me and my energy is I can’t meditate worth jack.  I’ve been practicing for 16 years, you’d think I’d have this down pat, but NOPE!  Sometimes I get really frustrated at Past Me for skipping along and skip-skip-skipping right on past the fundamentals like meditation.  Take heed, witchlings, learn your fundamentals or you’ll end up just like me.  

So far the book(s) talk about how my depression, anxiety, and hip pain can all be cured by the right chakra meditations....  Um.  I really don’t have much faith in that; I definitely take stock in the exercise comments, sure, and I understand how working with my internal energies can help ease depression and anxiety, but I don’t think it’s the cure all that it’s reading as?  Like I don’t think I can cure sciatica with my chakra meditations, but whatever to those of y’all that think you can, all the power to you.  But an out of balance crown chakra causing coma???  Seriously, the fuck?

I also find the herbs, colors, foods, etc, just....  But I always feel that way with correspondences truth be told; I’m always wondering what or who decided that this herb goes with that thing.  Or colors, like... it’s energy...  Why does that have a color code?  I understand energy can be rainbow or void of color but at the same time, I just question a lot of this that I’m reading.  Maybe I should be approaching it with more of an open mind, but there’s just a lot of Chakra associations that I don’t need.  I don’t need stones, herbs, noises, etc for each Chakra; I just need to learn how to access those feelings and the energy itself.  It seems soooo weighed down by all these “meanings” when its my own internal energy system, so what gives?

After finishing the chakra portion of this meditation book, like.... yea..... ok.  sure, bud.

- Talking to my ex has allowed me to put some of the more negative conceptions of myself to bed, having cleared the air a bit with where those qualities are concerned.  

- My moon tarot reading was very affirming in my personal journey, and as I write this currently on the full moon where my card was Strength, I feel this cycle has been very beneficial for me.

-The tarot reading I did focusing on shadow-work highlighted a lot of things that I have known about myself but have been trying to block out, it’s obvious that I’ll have to push through more emotional and psychological blocks with this spread laid out, but it’s also not as daunting or perhaps “bad” as I thought it would be.  

What Is Still Before Me

- There’s a lot that I have no formal “training” on, like energy work, I just do what works for me.  That’s why this next month, August, 30DoM is Chakrahs, to learn how to better work and align the energy within myself.  

- I seriously need to find a way to meditate that suits me, I seriously just cannot sit the fuck still.  

- This is the hottest month of the year where I live, and often one of my harder months to get through.
