It’s time for the estate manager interviews to take place at Home Farm headed by both Charity and Chris. Katie (and the boys) is excited about her dad’s interview at Home Farm. Diane tells Jack to stop thinking what Ray will do with the farm, it’s his place now. Diane encourages Jack to try out for estate manager. Heck, Charity could be ‘a powerful ally’ for him if he could get her on his side. Plus he could have an influence over what happens to the land he loves so much. In the end, still uncertain, Jack shows up at Home Farm to give it a go with the interview. Gifs will be posted separately.

Katie splits away from the boys to see her dad as she’s still not supposed to be talking to them so her moving into the village ‘would take all the fun out of’ her being there. Brian tells Katie the job ‘is in the bag.’ The boys and Katie are all set to celebrate her dad getting the job. Jack and Chris have a good long talk about the village and Chris’s plans. The teens are more than surprised when a very happy Jack comes home with news he’s the new estate manager!

Jack is more than qualified for the estate manager position BUT Chris has doubts they’d be able to work together because of their history. Charity liked Brian for the job but Chris saw him ‘as a bit too cocky’ for his liking. As for Jack, Charity encourages Chris to consider him, ‘people trust him’ more than them. Afterwards, Chris and Jack meet up at the pub to talk before they do anything they’d regret. Brian has a positive feeling about the job.
