AUGUST 11, 2019-AUGUST 11, 2020 Today marks 1 year after my VSG (verticle sleeve gastrectomy) surgery. I can't express how thankful and blessed I am to have had this opportunity to better myself physically and mentally. It has not been easy at all! I'd say, the beginning months were a lot easier than it is now. Believe it or not. The further out we are from surgery the more we have to work on our eating habits. Even with this new weight loss tool, it is easy to gain the weight back. These days I am in a constant battle with myself. I shouldn't eat this, I shouldn't eat that. But it's okay it's just this time, or it's just a little bit. But a little turns into a lot and just this time turns into every day. I have lost about 81 pounds from my heaviest weight which was 295 pounds. Today I weighed in at 214 pounds. I have been stuck between about 206-217 pounds for months. The lowest I've been since my surgery was 199 pounds. That was a short lived victory. The battle was won, with my initial weight loss, but the war has just begun. I still have a long way to go mentally and physically to be at where I want to be. I pray for strength, patience and discipline. I am so thankful for all the support I have had throughout this journey and I thank everyone who are still supporting and rooting for me. I especially want to thank my sister who has been there through it all. @msblackoreanlady I also want to thank my best friend who has also been my rock. @_fabulousnat I thank my mother who prays for me every day and has and still is supporting me throughout it all. #1yearsurgeryversary #1yearpostop #1yearvsgpostop #1yearvsgpostop #weightloss #weightlossjourney #wls #vsg #vsgjourney #losingweightjourney #losingweight #weightlosssurgeryinkorea #surgeriesinkorea #vsginkorea #bigtoslim #gettinghealthy #changingmybody #lifestylechange #abetterme #physicalandmentalhealth #vsgpostop #lifeaftervsg #abetterme #anewme https://www.instagram.com/p/CDxFn6enPnx/?igshid=9w51t7k5a760

As of today, I am 1 year post-op, double mastectomy with nipple grafts. I could not thank Dr. Raphael more. I've never been so happy and confident in my body. I was a little scared from the start, but this surgery has help me become the confident boy I am today. I never thought I'd be posting a picture with these lil nips all healed up like this. 😍 #trans #arabictransman #ftm #transgender #thisiswhattranslookslike #lgbt #transman #testosterone #me #drraphael #hrt #topsurgery #1yearpostop (at Little Nipple)
I smile, because I am blessed 😇😁
I’m one year post op with Dr. Raphael in Plano, Texas.
Having top surgery (especially having it with Dr. Raphael) was the best decision I've ever made in my life. I'm so much happier with my body and my self now than I was a little over a year ago.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about Dr. Raphael, or my process/experience! :)
