Since it seems I wonāt get my answers elsewhere...
Iām working on the AMMC sequel (FAWTFT/Newtina) right now and Iām trying to include a little more of the Jewishness of the Goldstein sisters. But I need a bit of help here... hence a few questions:

FOLKS ITāS THE 1AM RANT TIME!
Okay so Iāve been reading like, shit load, of Batman fanfic (because why would you not read Batman and Batman fanfic?), and I noticed a few things when coming across Jasonās character interpretations by the fans, which are uncountable. But the interpretation i want to address today is the really crazy, totally not canon and completely opposing to everything the character was in the comic.
Hereās the thing. As long as we have straight people in positions of power over queer stories, those queer stories arenāt going to be satisfying. I canāt even begin to nutshell what it is to be queer, there is so much to it, so much culture, so much history, so much trauma. Itās an entirely different way of moving through the world. Our rites of passage, our benchmarks and our goals are so far removed from those of the straight world. To live life as an unapologetically queer person is to live bravely, to live in constant danger, always having to assert and re-assert your identity in any way you can in the face of daily micro and macro aggressions, repeatedly defending your very existence and validity. Youāre constantly on your guard, because you never know whoās on your side. Our whole entire frame of reference, culturally and emotionally, is completely different to that of a straight person. We behave differently in relationships. To not have experienced any of that, to not exist within the intricacies of what it is to not be straight, and to then try to write a queer story is about as effective as trying to weave yoghurt - it simply doesnāt work. Thatās why queer fans of queer media are repeatedly disappointed. Put queer writers in charge of queer stories.

It baffles me to no end when people yell and scream as if all organically sourced materials are "unsustainable" while they're busy wearing plastic fucking Nike sneakers that release enough microplastics to kill half a goddamn ecosystem. Cheap t-shirts covered in memes/pop culture are made from cotton grown in India using absolutely absurd amounts of pesticides and are even more heavily processed when turned into dyed/printed fabric.
Of course, yes, the current meat/leather industry complex is fucking disgusting and needs to be yeeted to oblivion, preferably since yesterday. But animals sadly don't live forever. And hide/leather is ridiculously long-lasting if you care for it - a pair of good leather shoes can last for most of your life.
Support ethically and organically sourced materials. It's through shit like that we might unfuck the planet. Also second hand. That shit's affordable too.

I was just looking up posts about trans athletes hoping to find relatable stuff but all I found was transphobes talking about trans women stealing "real" womens awards and people arguing with them. I just wanted to find something like "I hate having to be in the wrong locker room" or "I hate all this discourse around what I like to do" or "I hate having to misgender myself to compete" or "why are the only water fountains in the locker rooms i thought i could avoid this" just urg.

I see some posts occasionally talking about it being transphobic to not want to date trans people, and I think thatās way over simplifying it.
If youāre not comfortable with dick or vagina or what ever, thatās fine. Thatās your preference. Physical intamacy is important to some people. No one should make you feel obligated to maybe someday be intimate with someone you know you wonāt be fully comfortable with, itās not fair to you or them.
BUT IF YOU ARE GROSS ABOUT IT, I WILL FIND YOU, AND I WILL DUNK YOUR HEAD IN A PUBLIC TOILET WHERE IT BELONGS. If you make a snide comment, pretend it was a joke, go āew vagina/dick š¤¢ā, or disrespect their identity, you are literal human garbage.
There is a line between having a preference and being straight up transphobic. You need to know where it is and not be a nasty person.
Edit: also I have my eye on you, people who avoid friendly interactions with trans people and pretend itās āpreference.ā You are nasty too. Iām literally only talking about not wanting romantic/physical intimacy in the above paragraphs. If youāre not friends with someone because theyāre trans, youāre pretty fuckin gross, too.
