16w + 1, pregnancy update.
Hi and welcome back to my blog !
Today, I begin my 17th week of ammenorhea (15th week of pregnancy), and I can’t believe I’m almost at the half of the pregnancy. We will meet this baby very soon, and I confess that, even if the beginning of 2017 was eventful for us, being in the year of the birth is making this baby more real. Well, let’s begin the update.
How far along - 16 weeks + 1 (GA), 14w + 1 (CA) Due date - July the 15th Bump ? - It popped out a week or two ago, but it’s not huge or clerarly visible. I’m still in this phase where people ask themselves if I’m pregnant or just ballooning.. Total weight gain - 1.3kg, that’s a bit under the average, but my midwife isn’t concerned, he tell me everything should be good and the baby is healthy ! Maternity clothes - not for the moment, but I started this week to buy some here and there. Sleep? - really bad, because Jeany-Jean isn’t accustomed to our new house, and wake up several times a night. When she sleeps, she’s kicking me. I felt very tired this week, but it gets better ! Food craving and aversions - I’ve no craving, but I’ve not recovered my apetite yet. I can’t eat any meat, but vegetables are pretty good. I eat in mini-meals, 5 or 6 times a day, and drink about 3l of water. Symptoms - Even if I’m in the second trimester, I’m still nauseous. I’m also felling really tired, and I get breathless everytime I have to run after Jean. Doctor’s appointment - It was yesterday. I had the luck to see my little baby 😍. My midwife tell me Martin should come home as soon as possible to help me with Jean, and to not exhaust me in the works of the house. We also talked about the birth. Belly button in or out ? - In, and it should be in for a moment. Movement - Not yet, but I’m really excited for feeling my baby. My midwife tell me (s)he is really active ! What I’m looking forward to - Martin to come back home, so we can begin the works in the house, and to be reunited as a family. Ring on or off ? - On ! Happy or moody most of the time - I’m pretty happy for now. Best moment of this week - Seeing the reaction of Jean listening at the heartbeat of the baby. Baby in veggie/fruit terms - This week, baby’s a nectarine (yummy), or a lemon. Next appointment - In a month, february the 20th.
