ok let's state it like this: if I say "all starting a fire in my house does is catch my house on fire", would you not also assume that I aware of ALL the little minute details that entails? not just the house is on fire, but the various things are on fire. things melt. things singe. smoke emits from the windows. the neighbors call the fire department. the fire department arrives. there's all this cause and effect right.
