yep, that’s sensory issues

basically, your day-to-day sensory input shouldn’t be causing you distress. sounds wild, i know, but it’s not neurotypical for the stimuli (be it sound, touch, visual, etc etc) you encounter on a day-to-day basis to make you unhappy. also, if busy shopping malls or crowded parties consistently cause you distress or agitation, that’s a neurodiverse thing. it sounds strange, but apparently but yeah, it’s normal for most people to expect to be comfortable in their day to day surroundings. 

Hi! Mod Echo speaking. I personally am not sure, I dmed Mod Uno earlier so we can come to an agreement, but if the mods of the TOTG blog wants us to stop making quotes related towards it, I’m perfectly fine with it.

The thing is though, I’m not sure if we can make much quotes anymore without main content source if that makes sense? You can obviously tell by from the lasts posts, I haven’t made one myself and have only been posting submissions when I can. There hasn’t been a lot of content for me to follow- so it’s kind of hard to try and come up with something funny :’)

*You’ve finally come to the Lamia Bittybones Adoption Center to adopt a bitty. You read through your matchup and decided that a Papython was the perfect choice for you, but you’re thinking you might like a Krait as well. You head for the front desk first, hoping that Vex can give you some advice on whether or not a Krait would be a good match.

*Vex considers your question. “Every Krait is different, but they are, as a rule, generally shy and a bit timid. As long as you are upfront about what your Tourette’s Syndrome is like, I’m sure you can find one who is compatible. As Vex is speaking, you feel a tug on your pants leg. You look down and spot a Krait. Apparently he overheard the conversation. You explain about the sudden neck movements and possibility of squeaks. He listens carefully, and when you’re done speaking he nods and holds up his hands to be picked up.

*You scoop up the Krait. You worried that might not be able to adopt one, and you’re relieved to find companions who understand and accept you. You place the Krait on your shoulder, and he points the way to the Papythons. He’s a quiet but sweet little guy, and when the Papythons see him, they all smile. Apparently, he’s quite a popular little guy. You ask him if he has a favorite Papython, and he nods.

*You can easily guess which Papython is his friend. One of the Papythons waves up at the Krait, who returns the wave. You place the Krait back down onto the floor and he slithers over to his Papython friend. After hugging each other, they both look up at you, all smiles. You tell the pair a little bit more about yourself. You notice that they are relatively quiet, and they wait for you to initiate physical touches.

My suggestions for you are:

Papython (UT!Papyrus): Papythons have a natural positive aura that can help with anxiety and depression. Papythons like to hug and give physical comfort, but they would never give you a sudden or unexpected hug. When you have a panic attack or night terrors, the Papython would be there to comfort and reassure you.

King (UF!Papyrus): Kings are not very physically affectionate, so any hugs or snuggles would be something that you knew about beforehand. Kings are protective and always want you to feel safe. A King will get you between you and anything that makes you feel anxious. If you were experiencing a panic attack or night terrors, a King that’s full-sized could pick you up and hold you.

Chain (SF!Papyrus): The unique SOUL bond that a Chain shares with his adopter helps to understand their emotional state. If you are feeling anxious or depressed, he will be aware of it and comfort you. Chains are snugglers, but he will never do anything that would make you uncomfortable. Napping is something that Chains also enjoy.
