I was watching a show yesterday, in which a ghost possesses a woman. After possessing her, the ghost becomes very angry with her because it realizes the woman was a woman who the ghost’s husband was having an affair with. While watching, my cardiophile imagination went to work. I imagined a ghost taking over a guy’s body, after which the ghost ends up making physical contact with the woman the ghost had been married to. The contact made the ghost realize the woman had been cheating on him. The ghost becomes so enraged that it grabs the woman and then tells her that he had given her his heart, but that her heart had betrayed him. The woman, paralyzed with fear after realizing that her dead husband is now before her, can do nothing but stand motionless, senseless, and voiceless as the ghost reaches into her abdomen, reaches up, makes his way to her heart, and then pulls it out through her abdomen. With her mouth and eyes wide open, she gazes upon her own beating heart, with the veins and arteries still attached, and dangling. “You are not worthy of this heart,” says the ghost. She stares at her heart as it slows to a halt, at which times she falls over.
