Anyway ZLS Revenge episode 10 sure was something. Spends the first half just going over that comedic recap about EFS that the show opened on but now spending time on it which felt like, eh, either do the comedic recap or do what happened here, I don’t really feel much benefit in having both.
Then the second half of the episode is best described as further setup for the final arc as it were, plus answering some mysteries. Setup in the form of “we’re gonna do EFS again because Saga needs to be put on the map before it cataclysmically ends”, and then mystery answers being that old bartender dude is immortal, can bring back the dead, and has a prophecy that Saga will be forgotten about, which is what Kotaro’s trying to stop.
I’m... eh on this? Like yeah we had zombies as part of the premise of the show so it’s not like this supernatural shit is out of nowhere, but I really enjoyed that they dismissed the question with just “have you seen a zombie movie?” and didn’t care much beyond that. I guess, it’s like, i’s fine that the show doing this but I didn’t fall in love with the show over this nor do I consider this necessary to enjoy the show. Oh well. Also reporter guy’s tryna publicise the fact that Franchouchou are zombies which I’m fine with as a plotpoint - no issues there. Yeah idk Revenge does feel like it’s been teetering out towards its end.
