So far, so good for the month of May. I’m keeping a laser focus on the goal and while it’s been tough not to overeat some days, other days have felt more natural. I’m tracking my food again, something I haven’t really done since before I got pregnant, and it definitely gives me a measure of control that I’ve been needing. The scale is seeming to behave, so I can’t complain there. I’m so close to onederland now that I think that’s what’s helping me stay the course.
We’re having a couple of rainy days here, which means no walks in the park, but I’m still getting a good sweat in with some Fitness Marshall videos. If you aren’t familiar with him, he’s a guy who puts together cardio dance routines to popular songs and he’s got a YouTube channel. Despite YouTube being a garbage platform riddled with ads, it’s still my favorite indoor workout option that doesn’t involve leaving the house. Hermits, unite!
If you wanna check out a few videos, I recommend this one (sure to make you feel like a pop music video backup dancer), this one (hilariously pirate themed), this one that he does with another fitness YouTuber (which will actually set your thighs on fire), and this one, which is a nice little cool down. I have a playlist of ~15 songs set up and I’ll add to it and take songs off it from time to time. I promise you’ll look super dorky in your living room following along, like I do, but it’s a lot of fun and the time flies by. If Pep is awake while I’m working out, he gets quite a kick out of watching me flail around, too. 😁
