Summary: After enlisting Luke in Operation: Get Jordy a love life, Dean and Jordy find themselves locked in a club closet. With tempers flaring, they’d kill each other sooner than fall back together.
[Jordy]: They had been there for a solid hour and she was officially too sober and too bored. Mallory had insisted on being by her side the entire time while Kaci had found a suitable boy and neither had seen her since their arrival. Twirling the contents of her drink, Jordy casted a bored expression among the crowd. It had been nearly a week since Jordy had spoken to Dean and Mallory had begged and pleaded for details, but Jordy hadn't any to offer her. Her friend, however, refused to believe that but had grown quiet to the subject which made Jordy feel a bit suspicious, but she was thankful for the peace and quiet none the less. A guy casted his eye at Jordy and she turned from him, instantly uninterested. He was handsome and was her normal type: easy, suave, put together and on the hunt for a girl just as easy as him. Sadly, Jordy hadn't been in the mood since her whatever with Dean - something Kaci had tried to speak of, but Jordy had shut down with "It's nothing, I'm just bored with the same run of the mill sex, obviously," that had made Kaci scoff.
The guy came over, his hand instantly on her arm, "Hey, beautiful, how's about I buy you a drink?" Before Jordy could tell him to fuck off, his hand was being tossed off by a wide eyed and red cheeked Mallory, "Buzz off, Bucko! She's not interested." Jordy's eyes widened slightly and watched the guy's mouth tense with rage. Sighing, Jordy batted her eyelashes innocently, "If you don't mind, she gets very jealous, but that girl over there seems more your type." The man lingered and Jordy turned back to him, "You can go now." The guy scoffed and turned from her, "Frigid fucking bitch," she heard him mutter and she allowed a quick smile before turning back to her friend, an eyebrow raised. "What the absolute fuck was that?" Mallory crossed her arms, a pout forming. "You didn't want to go with him, Jordy." Jordy's jaw tensed, "That's not really your call, is it?" She said angrily, then she took a sip of her drink. They stood for a few more minutes in silence before Mallory brightened. "I will be right back! Don't move!" She turned to run away and then turn back, "Stay!" Jordy's hand clenched her glass and she finished it off, asking the bartender for another.
When Mallory came back, she grabbed Jordy's arm. "Hurry! Jordy you have to see this?!" Being pulled, Jordy instantly shot to attention. "What's wrong? What happened?! Is it Kaci?!" Mallory turned to face her, "No, no, nothing like that! But you have to come with me! C'mon!" Confused, Jordy allowed herself to be pulled to the back of the club where she was shoved into someone hard and she gasped in a quick second of pain. Before she could apologize or snap at Mallory a door was shut. "Have fun!" Panicking, Jordy instantly went to the door, banging on it. "Mallory!" She screamed, her panic rising. She didn't turn to face whoever she was with, terrified of who it was. It was dark and suddenly she felt small and helpless. "Mallory! Mallory open the fucking door, this isn't funny!" Her hand searched for a light that suddenly came on from above and she looked up to see that the club was as vintage as it promise dude to the long hanging lightbulb in the coat closet, turning to the guy she felt her heart stop: Dean. Turning back to the door then to him her anger flared and she was sure steam was coming out of her ears. "Do you think you're fucking funny? Is this your idea of a sick fucking joke?" She snapped at him, her fists curled by her side and nails biting into her skin.
[Dean]: Saturday nights were Dean's nights. Usually it was the only night a week where he could do whatever he wanted without the fear of being up early the next day. This weekend, however, Allison was on business retreat, near Bernie no less, and Jess already had plans which meant that Luke was the only one around. To his dismay, Dean was pulled out of their condo and angrily told that he would be having a good time. "Dude," Luke yelled as they had entered a club that he and Mallory loved going to somewhat regularly. "You never do stuff like this anymore! And how often can you just come out without anyone and have a good time?" Dean rolled his eyes and took another sip from his drink. "I'm not out without anyone, Luke. You're here." If there was one thing that Dean hated more than doing something he didn't like, it was doing things he didn't like in a nightclub. It never left him anything but hungover and thus he barely ever stepped foot inside one. After he turned twenty-one, he had gone to them frequently and vowed after a whole weekend of being horizontal from the drinking "spins" that he wouldn't bother with them anymore. "Yeah, but I'm not really here! I'll be with Mallory in like, 15 minutes!" Again Dean rolled his eyes. "Then what was the point of me even being here? You know this week has been shitty and I didn't even want to come!" His voice raised just as the music had. The last week since his talk with Jordy had been rough. Caroline pestered him incessantly about finding a "solid book" that she could take to the top for recognition as well as Allison being gone with Bernie who he had been missing more than usual. Add on top of those things his sporadic conflicting thoughts and emotions about Jordy and he had himself a draining week. He was not in the mood to be in a club at all.
After finishing his drink, Dean checked his phone expecting a text from Allison and saw nothing but his lock screen. He grunted to himself, though audibly loud enough for Luke to catch him putting it back in his pocket. "Luke, I'm done. I really, really don't want to be here and I'm exhausted." He began to shove his hand forward to shake but as he did so Luke quickly grabbed him and started moving him towards the back of the club. "What the fuck," Dean yelled as he tried twisting out of Luke's grip. "Luke! Luke, what the hell, man?!" But before he could do much else he was literally being shoved into closet, roughly. His hands caught a shelf as he slammed into a bunch of things. "What the fuck," he repeated, rubbing his hands together to stop the stinging. It was now pitch black and as Dean finally found the door he began to beat on it. "No one is ever going to fucking hear me!" He slammed his fist in frustration and stepped back, once again tripping over things which he assumed were a few mops and buckets. His fingers began to trace along the wall looking for a switch and after what seemed like hours, he pushed something out of he way and found one. As the light flickered on, Dean groaned. He was surrounded by a clutter and began to feel claustrophobic. "I'm going to kill tonight," he said as he began to move the cleaning devices to one side so that he at least had a little space to sit.
As he sat on a big white bucket, Dean began to text Bernie and Jess about what was going on; leaving Allison out as he had already had a strong suspicion about what Mallory, and subsequently Luke, were up to. He texted Luke too of course, which came with no responses and was no surprise whatsoever. Finally he heard someone coming, or rather two people. His stomach dropped as he listened to one of them try to fight off the other, the door swinging open as another person shoved the girl inside. Instantly a sense of dread came over Dean as he looked at Jordy, his face falling into his hands as he watched hers fill with fury. It took less than a second before she was going off on him as expected but he kept his head down. He waited until she had finally finished before even pulling his hands away. "I didn't do this." Dean was calm, but the anger in his voice was definitely noticeable. He knew what her first response would be and he braced himself. "I didn't even want to be here tonight. So before you continue to lose your shit, please just fucking relax." His face now looked up to Jordy's, his eyes stern in the hopes that she wouldn't freak out. The last thing he had wanted or needed was this, and yet here it was. Dropped right into his lap.
[Jordy]: Jordy was fuming and looking at him and being trapped didn't help anything. "All I asked you to do was leave people from my life out it - what? Was that just too fucking difficult for you?!" Reaching into her bag, she dug around for her phone, "What your closure wasn't enough that now we have to play seven minutes in heaven like a couple of fucking middle schoolers? Who else did you involve for this one? An entire gang, or just the top five so you could have all your exits guarded!" When she didn't feel her phone her panic increased. She knew Kaci was probably far too busy to even think of looking at her phone, but she was the only real hope she had of getting out of this. Dumping the contents from her bag, not even caring that she could possibly shatter her phone in the process, but to her dismay everything but her phone slid out. "That little fucking -" Jordy seethed, wanting to scream.
She couldn't even form a sentence she was so angry. Here she thought after reading Dean's letter that that was the angriest she'd ever been, but here she was a week later and she was restraining herself from punching him in the face. Gritting her teeth, her fists clenched painfully and she was shaking slightly, "Tell them to unlock the door because there is nothing on this fucking planet that I could say to you right now that would be anything aside from straight up verbal abuse."
[Dean]: The shelves behind him probably could have fallen over on Dean had Jordy erupted any stronger. Quickly he realized that this was going to be even worse than he ever could have imagined. "I didn't do this," he bellowed repeatedly. "None of my friends are even here besides Luke! And he basically had to drag me here! I was fine with how we left things. I don't need anything else from you EVER again! I don't want to be in here with you either!" Instantly Dean stood up, his own anger and rage building. He didn't want to deal with hatred of him anymore. In fact, he couldn't stand it even more now. "I've tried calling Luke, I called Jess and he didn't answer either but he's across town anyway so it wouldn't even matter! God," his voice dragged like an obnoxious ecosystem polluting truck might. "I get that you want to be as far away from me as possible but this wasn't fucking me. I don't need ANYTHING from you. I didn't ask for this so just lay the fuck off already!" Dean was never one to yell so the fact that he was right now surprised even himself. "I can't stand this. You would have thought that I ruined your life the way you treat me. I don't want you. I don't. Want. You. Are you hearing me now?!" As he turned away, again he slammed his whole body against the shelves behind them. "I understand how this looks, why you'd be pissed off..." His voice trailed off as he took a deep breath. "But I'm going to keep calling Jess until he picks up and he'll get us out." Dean kept himself facing away from Jordy as he began to dial Jess yet again. "Jess, call me back. I'm gonna kill Luke tonight if you don't. I'm trapped in Brooklyn, literally." He turned back to look at Jordy slyly so that hopefully she wouldn't notice, "They locked Jordy and I in a closet together. That's where we're at. Just get here, please."
[Jordy]: At his screaming, Jordy felt her heart pound. She'd never seen him so angry before, as surprising as it was, and it scared her. Dean was always calm and collected, even when angry his calmness had always thrown her. Jordy would explode in a burst of anger and Dean would stand there and just speak so rationally that she never understood it, but now she realized she'd rather have that odd display than this - especially given the small space. She distanced herself from him - or tried to considering the lack of space in the closet, her arms crossed and jaw locked, trying not to let him see that his change of character had given him some upperhand. "It's your fault for involving her in the first place, you fucking idiot," she snarled, unable to let this anger go. It wasn't that she didn't believe him, she could hear it in the way he talked - anger, not at himself or at the regret of a fallen plan, just anger, but yelling at him was easier than yelling at a door she doubt anyone was behind. If she got out of this closet, there was no doubt in her mind that she was going to kill the three of them, starting with him and then Mallory. ESPECIALLY Mallory.
Never in her life had she had someone interfere and meddle like Mallory had. The young college freshman insisted about how lonely Jordy was and had tried, but failed several times, to hook her friend up, but Jordy wasn't having it.
Lonely or not - though she insisted she wasn't lonely as often as possible to her blonde friend - Jordy wanted to be able to do what she wanted to do and when she wanted to do it. She was an adult, but even so, she spent her whole entire life looking out for herself. By the time she was six she'd gotten herself up and ready before any nanny could bother her. She spent from the time she was eight till the year of her graduation home alone, even when her farther was home, cooped up in his office working, so it was her job to get her own dinner and her own routine - she didn't need some fresh out of high school, naive southern belle telling her what she needed. But Jordy had stupidly taken a fondness to the girl, but now that fondness was as distant as she wanted to be from her current closet trap.
Turning back to Dean, she saw him glance at her and she turned away, too aggravated to even look at him. "Call Kaci," she said to him, her voice hard and full of annoyance. "I doubt she'll answer, but she's here somewhere with some guy." Jordy rattled off Kaci's number to Dean, then sat down on the space right in front of the door, letting her head rest against it as she pressed her thumb and index finger between her eyes, trying to force herself to relax - even just a tiny bit. She wasn't surprised when Kaci didn't answer, telling him to call again - she knew, if anything, Kaci had probably left with that guy, or another guy, probably figuring Jordy would do the same or be trapped with Mallory all night. "Goddamn it, Kace," Jordy hissed under her breath. Rattling her brain for names, she instantly thought of Patrick. Was he working an opening tomorrow? Trying to remember his schedule, she failed miserably from the combined emotions of the small space and shook her head. "Give me your phone, I know someone who can possibly help," she said, holding out her hand for his phone.
[Dean]: There was a whirlwind of emotions pulsing through Dean as he listened to Jordy. "I had no idea she'd be this fucking involved. I only met her twice briefly," he retorted quickly with as much venom as he could muster. It seemed as though both of them wanted out just as bad as the other, with Jordy offering up new people to call every other minute. After Kaci failed, Dean sat himself back down on the bucket to breathe. He watched the short brunette cease movement as well, rubbing her forehead which he knew meant she was stressed as well as annoyed. "They'll have to come let us out eventually. We don't have to talk in the meantime," he offered. "Aren't we supposed to be the generation obsessed with our phones? Why can't one person just check theirs?" His shoulders tensed as he wracked his brain for more ideas. "There's another bucket in here, by the way. I can imagine standing in those might get old," he gestured toward Jordy's heals, pulling the other bucket upside down and scooting it towards her. He knew she'd want to do anything but accept any of his help. "Trust me. The floor's gross. I was in here a good fifteen minutes before you."
Eventually Dean had the idea to call the actual club they were in to call someone in management. "Are you fucking kidding me," he said through gritted teeth. "I just sat on hold for nothing. The call fucking clicked off and no one at the bar answered." This was a literal nightmare. Being trapped doing something he didn't want to do when he was already upset. "Such a dream." He was officially losing steam. At this point he would have rather just sat in silence and complete darkness until either Luke or Mallory came for them. But like a beacon of hope, Jordy finally asked for his phone apparently thinking of someone. "Here," he said as he extended arm towards her. "There's no passcode on it." He searched the girl's eyes for any sign that she might be cooling off, also hoping that maybe she'd get that he really didn't have anything to do with this. As she began to dial he listened as a guy finally picked up on the other end. Thank you Christ, he thought to himself - unable to think of anything but getting the hell out of this Godforsaken closet. Dean knew whoever he was, this guy was someone reliable based off of how Jordy spoke to him. It wasn't someone she slept with, that was known considering she didn't flirt, spoke kindly, and actually had his number memorized. It was a relief and not just because even still Dean didn't like thinking about her being with someone else. He was glad she had someone who could be a beacon of support to her. He waited for her to finish, praying that they'd somehow be rescued. The light above them flickered as Jordy hung up and passed the phone back over. "Please tell me you have a savior," Dean nearly begged. If it meant getting out of this alive - both mentally and physically, he'd do anything.
[Jordy]: "You involved her the moment you gave me that letter - don't you get what that /looked/ like!? It's behind us, yeah, but you involved her and while /we/ don't believe it's some bullshit Nicholas Sparks trope, Taylor Swift out there does!" Jordy snarled, jabbing a finger angrily to the door. "Yeah... eventually, and since we're obviously not going to walk out there the best of friends they'll probably try it again and again," she banged her head against the door in frustration. Jordy ignored him, not caring how gross the floor was, she needed that extra distance for her own sanity. It was strange, in the four years of being apart Jordy hadn't really thought of Dean. In the beginning, she had. It was only natural to wonder about him from time to time, but then, she never thought of him at all. Her life had been hectic from college and working to just the general gist of living in the city, but now he was somehow wormed into her life and for what? All because he made the mistake of picking the diner she happened to work at.
Dialing Patrick's number, she shut her eyes, praying he answered. She knew it was a long shot, considering how this was a random number, but to her luck he answered. "Hello?" he answered in a bored voice. "Patrick, it's me," she said quickly. "Jordy?" He asked, and she could see his eyebrows raised in surprise and drop into his protective frown, "what's wrong? You okay." Jordy looked up at the ceiling, "Physically yes, but I need you. Mallory... she will also need you after your finished with me. Look, it's a long story, but the short version is that I'm in Brooklyn with that guy you saw in the diner locked in a closet - don't even fucking go there - and we can't get out. It's that club you used to go with that Emery used to work at and our little princess decided she was going to play fairy godmother with us." Patrick let out a loud laugh and she took the phone from her ear and glared at it, "This is hardly a joke!" Patrick snorted, "This is fucking hilarious! I'll be there as soon as I can, don't you worry." With that, he hung up. Satisfied, Jordy handed Dean his phone back. "Yes, he should be here soon."
[Dean]: Time seemed to stand still between the time Dean learned someone would be getting he and Jordy out and the time they next spoke. If he had to hear how this was all his fault one more time he really was going to snap. He was convinced of that. "For the sake of everything right now, please just stop saying that," he began, clenching his teeth so tight that his jaw could have snapped with one push against it. "What Mallory took from a situation isn't my fault." Before Jordy could respond, Dean was on top of it. "Enough. You've made your point many times. I know how you feel." He couldn't believe the gusto behind his words. Four years ago Dean only ever knew to be quiet when Jordy was upset in any fashion. Being brave enough to speak against her now came purely from his dealings with Caroline, he was sure of it. They were very similar, Jordy and Caroline. Both had the most cold exteriors you could ever imagine, with deeper and more sensitive issues lying below the surface. Both women knew how to get what they wanted in every aspect of their lives and they did it was a fair amount of ease. Within a year of working even just around Caroline, Dean knew he should push back if his respect level was depleting. He felt that so strongly with Jordy now that he knew if he never stood up for himself there was no turning anything around between them.
Dean wasn't stupid to ever think that Jordy would want their relationship to change and quite frankly, neither did he. But there was a difference between wanting their relationship to change and looking like a lay down. He had been back in high school with everyone; never wanting to tip the scales and ruin what worked smoothly. Jordy was different, though. Had he truly been in love with her when looking back at it, there was such a lack of respect or empathy for him? Dean knew the answer was no. He cared for her, maybe even loved her in terms of wanting her to be okay and recognize that all he ever wanted was to make her happy and see that she was okay, but he now knew that he hadn't been in love with her. What he and Allison had now was love - built on a mutual respect and gratitude for each other. He laughed at himself and the situation as he thought of what had attracted Jordy to him. She was hot, perfectly so. Her personality shined when it wasn't ripping him a new one or hurting him. All of those things were almost completely mute now. Many a man or boy had tried to simply sleep with her and yet Dean felt like Jordy never even knew or cared about the depth of actual care he had for her back then. Just like she didn't care now. "I'm glad," he finally responded. "I needed this like I need a hole in the head." As he looked at his phone again, clicking the on button to check the time he noticed that thirty minutes had already passed. "I take it your friend found this comical?" Dean asked, the tone of bitterness nearly matching that of Jordy's from when she was on the phone. "Glad everyone else thinks this is so funny. I hope Luke's enjoying himself. Seeing as how this is the last night of his fucking life." Dean bit down on his lap and clasped his hands together in an attempt to release all of the aggression he had pent up. "If you seriously think this was my doing after all of this..." His voice stopped as he looked across the tiny room. The light had consistently been flickering for the last minute and as he began to open his mouth again, it shut off entirely. Silence fell and so did Dean's annoyance. He could no longer feel a thing. "Awesome," he whispered before finally resting his head against the shelves and appliances behind him.
[Jordy]: Jordy clenched her jaw, still livid. She needed an outlet for it and felt childish, but in truth, she didn't care. Being shoved into a confined space with Dean wasn't on the list to gain her friendship or respect, and that letter had caused more trouble then it had been worth. Since their departure she'd barely slept, thinking of it and of her and Dean. She thought of every aspect of their relationship and it had made her restless. It wasn't that Jordy hadn't cared, she did, but caring too much always left her empty. And with Dean, she let walls down just so to let him peek into her world; he'd seen her vulnerable - sometimes so vulnerable it had taken everything not to bring her to tears because she'd been a young girl that had no one but her friends to keep her from falling off the edge of the Earth and Kaci who was everything to her and was the only one Jordy ever had opened up enough to to keep their friendship solid. Dean was another case. Letting him in and giving him a piece of her was more then scary to her - she had so little to her name that sharing it with him seemed so stupid and a set up for disappointment. Dean would always be a regret to Jordy, but it didn't matter at the end of it all. No matter what she said or did now wouldn't change the past and she didn't want to let Dean in because she simply had done more than enough to him and wanted his happiness and success more than she probably even wanted her own. Gritting her teeth together, she place her head into her knees, "I'm going to kill her and that idiot she's dating - whatever the fuck his name is!"
"Yes Dean, because being locked in a disgusting closet with you was such a dream of mine," she snapped at his remark. Jordy knew Patrick would be there as fast as he could, even if he thought the situation was funny. Patrick hadn't been Jordy's friend for very long, but he was easy to get along with and they both worked with each other for nearly a half a year and in the beginning they had slept with each other after a few too many drinks and an attempted game of monopoly, but neither had felt compelled to do it again, though it didn't stop their flirty friendship or their games. Patrick was easily one of her best friends from his easy going nature to his sense of humor, he always knew how to make her smile. Shrugging at his remark, she said, "Yep, that's Patrick for you." Sitting in silence, she watched the light burn out and blinked. Perfect. "Can this get any worse?" She muttered to herself, kicking her legs out to find a more comfortable position.
Biting her lip, she looked in his direction, tempted to say something. She couldn't sit there in the dark and wait for Patrick, but it was Dean. Turning from him, she traced a finger down her leg and sighed and resisted the urge to comment at his quip - in truth, Dean had opened the floodgate and Jordy clenched her jaw. "If you don't want to go for round two of our first fight in this closet, I suggest you just shut your mouth," she said coolly. Leaning her head against the door she could hear the music playing and was angered by how the last two things meant to be fun had ended up with her trapped with Dean - "I should have just taken off with that creep," she said more to herself, "but no, I decided to be a good friend and keep a buddy system like an idiot!" She closed her eyes, ignoring the stickiness of the floor, not even wanting to know what it was. "Mallory better pray that her idiot of a boyfriend is enough to protect her because I might actually rip every strand of hair from her head for this bullshit."
[Dean]: There was a part of Dean that wanted to rip into Jordy like she had a tendency to rip into other people. However, as he sat in the dark, he decided against it and kept quiet for a while. The more he provoked her, the more miserable he would be. Sure, Mallory was going to have to deal with a lot coming from Jordy, but at least it would release and pass her. He thought about the girl's words now, specifically how she said she should have left with some creepy guy rather than spend another minute with him. Dean knew that it was mostly fake or at least he hoped it had been. While he knew Jordy said things just to sting people, it didn't make it any easier hearing them. "Well if that's what you want to do," he said lazily, not implying what he was referring to. The light began to flicker again and something in Dean's mind clicked. Carefully he moved himself over to where the light switch was, watching as to not even graze Jordy. His eyes had adjusted to the darkness which helped him make out her body, and as he got closer he could smell her perfume. It sent Dean back, remembering how he had always loved how sweet she smelled even if her insides were a bit bitter. In typical fashion, she had changed her scent too. He remembered how she said that she got bored of fragrances quickly and always wanted to switch things up once a bottle was finished.
As he found the switch, he flicked it on a off for a few seconds before leaving it off for a moment. He could just about see Jordy's face, catching it as he lowered his to wait to turn the light back on. There was a part of Dean that wanted it to be what he thought it was, soft and nostalgic instead of angry. He didn't let himself even imagine it for more than a second, electing to flip the light on and move on too. His idea work and it came on to a shiny glory, illuminating the small space ten times more than it had before. Just as soon as he looked down, Dean saw Jordy's face turn exactly how he thought it would. Yet again he felt her rage and annoyance. He wanted desperately to get out of the stupid closet as a hurt venom seemed to swirl around in his stomach. It was as if his it rose to his throat and before he could stop it, it came. "You're a joke." His voice shook as the words left his lips. "You didn't deserve a minute of anything good we had." Dean felt as though someone had punched him in the gut, winding him beyond repair. However, before either could say anything else someone was unlocking the door. Finally it swung open and beyond it Dean could see Mallory and the guy from the diner who he presumed to be Patrick. He thought to wait till Jordy got out but couldn't stomach looking at any of them any longer. He pushed past each of them and finally saw Luke. Dean was like a bulldozer, moving people in his path with an ease he never knew possible. "Don't ever fucking help her again. And while you're at it, stay out of my way in general. I would say see you at home but I don't want to, quite frankly. Just leave me the hell alone." With not another word, Dean began to make his way out of the club and back to bed. All he could think of was getting in it and staying there until work on Monday morning. If he didn't see another person for thirty hours that would be absolutely fine with him. The drain that Jordy had finally caused him was enough to never want to see or even hear about her ever again.
[Jordy]: As he got up, her eyes scanned him suspiciously. It's not that she didn't trust him, but she always hated that feeling of vulnerability that had once been a big sidekick in her life. There had been a time where she'd feared she'd never be good enough, and when she grew up, she saw it was her reality and made it her own. This, however, was significantly different. He was the only person she ever gave control to and she suspected he knew that she'd never been as trusting with anyone as she had with him. Watching him, her thoughts went to Mallory. Jordy had trusted Mallory as a friend and what had the girl done? Defied her wishes, trapped her in a closet, and did it upon the delusion of love. Glaring into the dark, she allowed her anger to rebuild. She didn't want neither Luke or Mallory to get away with what they had done to her and Dean, even Allison. What did they even expect? Dean was with someone, and Jordy was sure their current situation wouldn't exactly make his girlfriend over the moon. Slamming her fist into her thigh in frustration, she hit her against the door; Allison - What would the girl even think if she knew where they were? She had so little to pride herself on, but Jordy didn't like taken men, she didn't like to be used in a cheating ploy - while she had cheated on Dean in the beginning, she'd done it to make one thing clear: that she was right about what they were - of course she'd been wrong, but she never informed him of that. Dean's pain had meant something, and maybe that was all.
As the light flickered back on, she blinked and she felt disoriented as she saw Dean glaring down at her - she'd been so focused on one thing she'd forgotten that she was in a small closet with him, and seeing his own anger, then he snapped. It stung and for a moment she let it, faltering and she may as well have been a teenager again, unable to hold onto a composure and turn away fast enough to recompose her facade and giving him a glimpse into her greatest truth: she was broken and just trying to keep the salvage pieces protected. "You honestly don't think I know that?" She said, looking at him, looking as vulnerable as she ever had. "Leaving was the nicest thing I did to you in that whole time span, whether you believe it or not because it's clouded by whatever hurt it caused you know it's true. I couldn't give you anymore, and you know you sadly had everything and felt like it was nothing, but I promise you, I have nothing more to open up and looking for more would have ruined you."
She heard the lock and Patrick's voice talking to Mallory faintly. "Okay guys, your seven minutes are up, give the closet to another couple." Ignoring his comment, she jumped up and hugged him, causing him to stumble back. "Well Jesus, Jordy, if you insist." Jordy just hugged him and he quickly closed his arms around her, moving them slightly from Dean's rampage. As Jordy let go of her friend, she turned to Mallory. Maybe it was her own vulnerability that made her falter and that Mallory somehow looked smaller than her under Jordy's gaze, but all her steam had left. She wasn't angry. Wasn't enraged, or bitter, she felt calm.
