Speed Racer (2008) holds a special place in my heart for not just being a live-action adaptation, but a live-action anime.

Last reblog reminds me; for some reason, a while back when I was stressed, I took great comfort in the idea of having my heart held. Like, with me awake and gently restrained to a surgical table, under magic or medicine that keeps me from feeling any pain, as someone loving and knowledgeable so tenderly cuts me open and examines inside me and cups and holds my still-beating heart in their hands with such care. Maybe talking kindly to me, maybe praising me, that sort of thing.
...I don't understand the psychology behind it to this day and I realise it's perhaps A Bit Strange but— when I was feeling that burning ball of stress in my chest, that thought genuinely helped to make it go away
