please give me name ideas (I want it to be tied with the fact shes blindfolded and cant see, also she isn't like ??? since she didn't try to become the character she played in the show she was in unlike ??? who only saw themself as their character and forgot what they even looked like, hence why their face is blanked out. it was nice to fresh the mind up with some details now that we have a bigger picture
i had to stop to laugh every time gero and akakura looked a bit too visually similar or made family references, foreshadow huh
now to my complaint, had to make sure i wasnt misremembering: akakura's issue starts as a lack of confidence in her work performance, like it was implied she had in her introduction arc, but it gets a 180 and turns into "my crush is distracting me" that extends to gero too, and its so ... boring? offensive even? going from "im not cut out for this" to "im holding him back" was such a whiplash. something interesting they should've done was explore how, technically, akakura failed to protect erina last time, and only got to save her bc of gero's assistance, they should've inclined more (and solely honestly) on the "if i cant protect alone, can i even call myself a protector?" ... but her lack of confidence immediately got resolved when kirito called for her, "thats what im best at!" (but you were doubting yourself 2 pages ago...) and she's who asks for the toxin and its a whole romantic scene ...
also her goal turning into getting stronger so she can better assist and work beside gero, when her reasoning to become a protector had already got flak in the fandom when it came out for being so "underwhelming", feels like such an odd choice. all the girls want to get better for gero but akakura is the only one that has her work in part of that goal
idk maybe if i reread her introduction it might change, but man i hate this ship, i genuinely do not get the hype, and this second arc did not change my opinion on akakura i remain neutral
oh yeah, the wiki says the swordgpt guy is also a arima, sorry to all the x kirito shippers out there they might be related too
