All that angst aside, I could imagine Micah like, escaping on his own but with memory loss thanks to Shadow Weaver’s magical interrogation or something, and then popping up again later
Heck maybe even Kid Adora bumped into him without knowing who he was and helpfully (bc she does like being helpful) showed him the way to the skiff bay or something
maybe Shadow Weaver found out and wiped the memory from her to keep her favorite from getting in trouble for accidentally aiding in a prisoner’s escape
and after the Battle for Bright Moon Adora’s brain is still feeling weird thanks to the near brainwashing experience and at some point she looks up at Micah’s mural and is like ‘huh. he looks weirdly familiar all of a sudden???’
she starts asking Glimmer about what he was like and eventually her and Glimmer unearth that hidden memory of kid Adora meeting him. Cue Glimmer freaking out bc her dad might not really be dead. Cue them and Bow making up some cover story so they can go on a mission to try and find him without letting Angella know what they’re really looking for, in case it doesn’t turn out so good
if u want a “happy” ending maybe they find Micah in some corner of the Horde territory, wandering around, causing small sabotages and scratching his daughter’s name into rocks bc those are the only two things he remembers (Glimmer is important, and f*ck the Horde)
the best friend trio bring him back home, and he’ll never be the same he has to relearn a lot of stuff like Adora did when she first got there, but he’s not dead he’s with his family again, and that’s more than Angella, Glimmer, or Casta ever thought they’d have
